Château La Mission Haut Brion White 2020 is the dry white grand vin of Château La Mission Haut-Brion in Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux. It was formerly released under the name Château Laville Haut-Brion and comes from an estate where white grape varieties occupy only a small part of the vineyard. That alone gives this wine a rather distinctive position within its appellation.The 2020 vintage was shaped by an early growing season and a demanding summer. A mild, wet winter was followed by an early start in the vineyard, then by a hot, dry period with several heatwaves. The château limited leaf removal to protect the bunches and preserve aromatic freshness. The white grapes were picked early, between 19 and 28 August, under good conditions.
The blend is 54.7% sauvignon blanc and 45.3% sémillon. In this vintage, the sauvignon blanc brings clear acidity and drive, while the sémillon remains important for breadth and texture. Part of the wine was aged in new barriques, yet the available tasting notes describe the oak as present but restrained and well integrated.

Chateau La Mission Haut Brion is a respected winery from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Pessac-Leognan appellation near the city of Bordeaux.
