Château de Camensac 2020 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from the Haut-Médoc, produced at the estate in Saint-Laurent-Médoc. This is the château's grand vin and a 5ème Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. In magnum, the 2020 vintage has an extra sense of occasion: generous in format, serious in origin and well suited to a table where Bordeaux is given time and attention.The blend is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. That gives the wine a distinctly Haut-Médoc shape, with dark fruit, graphite notes, fine structure and polished tannins. The vineyards are planted on deep gravel, sandy gravel and sandy clay soils, influenced by an oceanic microclimate. After selective hand harvesting and careful sorting, the wine matures for 14 to 18 months in French oak barriques, 60% of them new.

About CH DE CAMENSAC
Château de Camensac is a historic winery from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the appellation Haut-Médoc. The castle and vineyards have a long tradition dating back to the 18th century, but the estate gained international fame when it was included in the famous 1855 classification of the Grand Cru Classés, where it received the status of Cinquième Cru (Fifth Group). The vineyards of Château de Camensac cover about 75 hectares, featuring mainly cabernet sauvignon and merlot as grape varieties, and the viticulture takes place on typical gravel soils that are characteristic for the region. The style of the wines is known for their freshness, structure and aging potential, contemporary with a classic Bordeaux signature. Château de Camensac is nowadays managed by the Merlaut family, who work together with a dedicated team of winemakers. Thanks to investments and a focus on quality, both the wines and the wine estate are popular among lovers of classic Bordeaux wines.
