Product info about Chateau Beauregard 2020 Magnum (1,5l)
Château Beauregard 2020 Magnum brings the estate's grand vin in a 1.5-litre format, giving this Pomerol an immediate sense of occasion. The wine is made from 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc, grown on the estate at the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau. The 2020 vintage is certified organic, in line with Beauregard's vineyard approach.The growing season was anything but simple: a very wet, mild winter and spring were followed by a dry summer and warm conditions as harvest approached. At Beauregard, this translated into a wine described by the estate as dense, complex and fresh. The grapes were picked by hand, carefully sorted, and vinified parcel by parcel in a gravity-fed cellar with concrete vats. Maturation lasted 18 months in French oak barriques, partly new, with a small selection also aged in terracotta jars, adding structure while keeping the wine's precision in focus.
