Château Beaumont 2020 in half-bottle format is a dry red Bordeaux from the Haut-Médoc, produced on the Left Bank in Cussac-Fort-Médoc. The 37.5 cl size gives it a very useful place at the table: a classic Médoc-style wine without opening a full bottle.The 2020 vintage was an early one. A mild, dry winter was followed by a warm, wet spring and then a hot, dry, windy summer, giving lower yields and more concentrated grapes. The blend brings together cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot: ripe fruit from the merlot, structure and fine tannins from the cabernet sauvignon, and black fruit with freshness from the petit verdot. Château Beaumont is referred to as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur and works according to integrated viticulture, with Terra Vitis certification since 2004.
In the cellar, the estate focuses on gentle, selective extraction before ageing the wine for 12 to 14 months in French oak barriques, around one third of them new. The result stays close to the classic Haut-Médoc idea: fruit with concentration, supported by structure and measured oak influence.
