Parusso Barolo Bussia Riserva Oro Vigna Munie 2013 is rooted in one very specific place: Vigna Munie, a parcel within the Bussia cru in Monforte d'Alba, Piedmont. For Parusso, this is not an annual routine release; the producer makes this Riserva only in optimal vintages, from a dedicated selection of Nebbiolo grown in that vineyard.The 2013 vintage is described as a cool one, bringing a sense of tension alongside the wine's maturity. The grapes are harvested by hand in small perforated baskets, followed by gentle pressing, long maceration and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Maturation takes place for at least 18 months in small oak casks, followed by extended bottle ageing, an important part of the identity of this Riserva.
