Product info about Chateau Siran 2019
Château Siran 2019 is the estate's first wine from Margaux in Bordeaux, not the second wine S de Siran. The 2019 blend combines merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and a small proportion of cabernet franc, giving it a clear Médoc identity with the depth and ripeness associated with this vintage at Siran.The wine comes from the château's 25 hectares of vineyards within Margaux, planted on fine, gravelly alluvial soils. The vines average around 30 years of age, with the oldest plots dating back to 1920. Sustainable vineyard work, no chemical herbicides, hand harvesting in small crates and manual sorting all point to a wine made with detail rather than haste.
Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, followed by 12 months in French oak barrels, 35% of them new. The château describes the wine as classic Médoc in style, with deep colour, aromatic complexity, controlled power, a silky texture and a refined finish. The screen-printed bottle also marks the 160th harvest of the Miailhe family at Siran.

Château Siran is a historic wine estate from the Bordeaux region, located in the Margaux appellation, south of the city of Bordeaux in France. The estate has a long history dating back to the 17th century and has been owned for generations by the same family, the Miailhe family. Château Siran is known for its classic Bordeaux wines, which are mainly made from a blend of traditional grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are spread over a terroir with a mixture of gravel and sand, which influences the character and elegance of the wines. This estate is one of the few non-classified crus from Margaux that enjoy much recognition among enthusiasts due to their consistent quality and distinctive style.
