Chateau Doisy Daene 2019 Barsac is a sweet white wine from Barsac in Bordeaux, made from 100% sémillon. It is the château's regular liquoreux wine, separate from its dry white Grand Vin Sec and from the rare L'Extravagant cuvée.The estate is listed as a Deuxième Cru Classé in the 1855 classification of Sauternes and Barsac. The fruit comes from Haut-Barsac, where clay-limestone soils and a thin layer of clayey sand sit above a limestone base. In the 2019 vintage, the wine is described as concentrated and sweet, yet marked by a clear sense of freshness.
Harvesting is carried out by hand in successive selective passes, allowing grapes affected by noble rot to be picked at the right moment. Vinification takes place by picking pass and by plot, with fermentation in oak barriques, followed by maturation before bottling. It is a patient way of working, suited to a Barsac where richness needs to be carried with precision.

Château Doisy Daëne is a French winery located in the Barsac appellation in the Bordeaux region. The estate is mainly known for its sweet white wines, produced primarily from Sémillon grapes, complemented by Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the château has been owned by the Dubourdieu family, who have built a strong reputation in both traditional and modern winemaking. The vineyards of Château Doisy Daëne benefit from the unique microclimate of Barsac, which offers ideal conditions for noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) and thus contributes to the character of the sweet dessert wines. In addition to the classic Barsac, the estate also produces dry white Bordeaux wines, which is relatively unusual for this appellation. The wines of Château Doisy Daëne are known for their freshness, aromatic complexity and structure, qualities that are appreciated internationally.
