Product info about Chateau Siran 2019 Magnum (1,5l)
Chateau Siran 2019 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from Margaux, presented here in the generous 1.5-litre format. It is the estate's grand vin, made from its Margaux parcels in Labarde, with merlot and cabernet sauvignon forming the core of the blend, supported by petit verdot and a small share of cabernet franc.The 2019 vintage at Siran was described by the estate as a healthy year, with no frost or hail damage, good flowering and a warm summer balanced by cool nights. The grapes were hand-harvested in small crates and hand-sorted before fermentation, followed by 12 months in French oak barriques, 35% of them new.
There is an extra piece of estate history in this release: the bottle decoration marks the 160th harvest of the Miailhe family at Siran. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Margaux we like to place in front of customers looking for a serious Bordeaux with presence at the table, especially alongside red meat, lamb, duck, game, mushrooms or mature cheeses.
Its current limited availability as last bottles makes the magnum all the more noteworthy, particularly for a 2019 that has been warmly received by several wine critics.

About CH SIRAN
Château Siran is a historic wine estate from the Bordeaux region, located in the Margaux appellation, south of the city of Bordeaux in France. The estate has a long history dating back to the 17th century and has been owned for generations by the same family, the Miailhe family. Château Siran is known for its classic Bordeaux wines, which are mainly made from a blend of traditional grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are spread over a terroir with a mixture of gravel and sand, which influences the character and elegance of the wines. This estate is one of the few non-classified crus from Margaux that enjoy much recognition among enthusiasts due to their consistent quality and distinctive style. The wines are generally characterized by their refined structure, aromatic complexity and the ability to age well, making them attractive for both immediate consumption and longer storage. In addition to the main wine, the château also produces a second wine, S de Siran, which shows the more accessible side of the house. Château Siran remains true to traditional Bordeaux methods, with great attention to sustainability and respect for the land, which suits the character of this historic and respected wine estate.
