Pichon Comtesse Reserve 2019 is the second wine of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, from Pauillac in Bordeaux. It comes from the estate's own vineyard base and cellar approach, but represents a distinct selection within the château. The 2019 blend brings together cabernet sauvignon, merlot and a small share of cabernet franc.The vintage gives the wine an important part of its story. 2019 was marked by generous sunshine and dryness, with cooler nights during ripening. The estate worked parcel by parcel, moving the grapes by gravity into temperature-controlled vats, followed by 12 months in barriques, partly new oak.

Ch Pichon Comtesse, fully known as Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, originates from the prestigious Bordeaux region in France and belongs to the Pauillac appellation. This winery traces its origins back to the 19th century and is internationally renowned for its elegant red wines, in which cabernet sauvignon usually plays the leading role, often complemented by merlot and smaller proportions of cabernet franc and petit verdot. The vineyards are situated on the characteristic gravel soils of the left bank of the Gironde, which contributes to the structure and aging potential of the wines. Château Pichon Comtesse received the status of Deuxième Cru Classé in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, placing it among the second highest rank of the Medoc vineyards.
