Ramos Pinto is a Portuguese producer mainly known for its port wines, founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto in Porto. The house grew rapidly at the beginning of the twentieth century and became known for innovative marketing and a strong focus on export, particularly to South America. Since 1990, Ramos Pinto has been part of the French Champagne Louis Roederer Group. The vineyards are mainly located in the Douro region, an area recognized worldwide as the cradle of authentic port. Ramos Pinto manages several quintas (vineyard estates) along the banks of the Douro River, where grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca are central to their blends. The brand offers a wide range of ports, from fresh Ruby and characterful Tawny to LBV and Vintage bottlings.
