About MONTELOBOS
Montelobos is a Mexican mezcal brand that produces its products with respect for traditional methods and organic agave. The brand originated in Oaxaca, one of the most important regions for mezcal production. Montelobos exclusively uses organically certified Espadin agave and, depending on the variant, sometimes also Tobala agave. Production is carried out entirely according to artisanal standards: after being harvested by hand, the agaves are roasted in a stone oven, followed by milling with a tahona and spontaneous fermentation in open wooden vats. Distillation takes place in small copper stills, preserving the complex character and the pronounced smoky profile. Montelobos presents itself as a brand that values transparency and sustainability; careful adherence to traditional techniques is given extra attention, as well as the environment and fair working conditions.
