Product info about Florio Semi Secco R 2001
Florio Semi Secco R 2001 is an Italian Marsala with a name that immediately gives it shape. Semi Secco places it in a semi-dry style, while the R 2001 reference makes it feel more specific than a broad, general Marsala bottling. At 19% alcohol, it has the strength associated with this style of drink, yet the interest here lies less in the number and more in the clearly defined identity of the bottle. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Marsala we would introduce to someone looking for a named Florio release rather than an anonymous category choice.
The available product details are concise, so the story remains focused: Florio, Italy, Marsala, a semi-dry indication and the 2001 reference in the product name. That gives the bottle a straightforward but distinctive place for anyone exploring Marsala through specific producer-led releases.
No detailed tasting notes are supplied for Florio Semi Secco R 2001. From the available information, it can only be described with certainty as an Italian Marsala in a semi-dry style, bottled at 19% alcohol.

About FLORIO
Florio is one of the best-known names in the history of Marsala wine from Sicily. This Italian brand has its origins in 1833, when Vincenzo Florio founded the eponymous winery in the region around Marsala on the west coast of the island. Marsala wine owes its special character to a combination of indigenous grape varieties such as Grillo, Catarratto, and Inzolia, together with a unique aging method in which wine is fortified and then rests in wooden barrels. Florio has distinguished itself since the nineteenth century by a continual focus on quality and a clearly recognizable house style, with which they produce a wide range of Marsala wines, ranging from sweet to dry and from young examples to long-aged variants. The cellars of Florio, with their distinctive Mediterranean architecture, are open to visitors and offer insight into the craftsmanship behind this fortified wine. Over the years, Florio has built a solid reputation as a reliable producer in the Marsala segment, both on the Italian market and beyond. The brand remains committed to traditional production processes, but innovates where possible in order to bring Marsala to a new audience as well.
