Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao is a French liqueur with a clear place behind the cocktail bar. In this 2.8 litre pouch, it is a practical format for frequent mixing, yet the liquid itself remains a carefully built Triple Sec curaçao made with grapes, cognac, brandy and bitter orange peel.Its character comes from the way the different elements are layered. Grapes, including Ugni-Blanc for the cognacs, provide the base, while Laraha bitter orange peel from Haiti brings the citrus focus. The blend includes bitter orange peel distillate infused with cognac, a botanical infusion in a mix of cognac and brandy, plus cognac and old brandy.
A final maturation in cognac casks with orange peel adds an extra aromatic touch. The Cognac Pierre Ferrand estate is located directly in the 'golden triangle' of the Grande Champagne in Cognac and is owned and managed by Alexandre Gabriel. They have also developed a number of unique production techniques that are used in the aging and distillation process and have introduced innovative ways of collaborating with smaller-scale producers. Both the vineyards and the company headquarters are located in the 18th century Château de Bonbonnet in Ars. The cognacs of Pierre Ferrand are highly regarded all over the world. They dare to experiment with special techniques and cask maturations, such as the Jamaican rum barrels that are used for the Renegade.
