About SLOANE'S
Sloane's Gin comes from the Netherlands and owes its name to Sir Hans Sloane, a British physician and botanist from the 17th and 18th centuries, who was associated with the introduction of exotic spices and botanicals into Europe. Sloane's Gin is produced using a traditional artisanal process, where each botanical is distilled separately; this method sets Sloane's apart from many other gin brands, which often use a joint distillation process. As a result, the flavors of the different herbs and spices are more clearly recognizable in the final product. For character, botanicals such as juniper berry, orris root, cardamom, angelica root, licorice, and citrus peels are used, each carefully selected. Since its introduction, Sloane's Gin has been regularly awarded at international competitions, including a 'World's Best Gin' award at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2011. The brand is produced in Schiedam, a city known for its rich distillery history. With its smooth and accessible flavor profile, Sloane's offers a gin that works well both neat and in cocktails, and is characterized by a balanced combination of classic and floral notes.
