About AALBORG
Aalborg is a well-known Danish brand that is mainly associated with aquavit, the traditional Scandinavian herbal spirit. The brand originates from the city of Aalborg, where the production of aquavit started in 1846. Over the years, Aalborg has become a mainstay in Danish drinking culture. The brand's aquavits are often characterized by classic craftsmanship, with attention to traditional distillation of potatoes and grain, combined with a selection of carefully chosen herbs and spices such as caraway seeds and dill. These elements give Aalborg Aquavit its distinctive spicy and herbal character, making it popular among aquavit enthusiasts worldwide. The assortment includes various varieties, such as the highly praised Aalborg Taffel Akvavit and Aalborg Jubilìums Akvavit, each with its own herbal profile, and often served at Scandinavian festive meals or with smørrebrød. Today, Aalborg is owned by major international beverage companies, but the character and style of the brand remain deeply rooted in the Danish aquavit tradition.
