Chateau Margaux 2012 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Chateau Margaux 2012 Magnum is the Grand Vin of Château Margaux from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. It is a red Bordeaux led very clearly by cabernet sauvignon, which accounts for 87% of the blend, supported by merlot, cabernet franc and a small proportion of petit verdot. The cabernet sauvignon comes from the riper, best parcels of the estate, giving the wine its structure and depth.
The 2012 vintage called for strict selection. Château Margaux chose less than 34% of the harvest for the Grand Vin, and the best press wines were carefully included to add density and flesh without disturbing the intended balance. Fermentation took place in wooden vats, followed by 22 months of ageing in 100% new oak barrels.

Chateau Margaux 2015
On request only
Château Margaux 2015 is the Grand Vin of Château Margaux, from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. This is the estate's flagship red Bordeaux, not Pavillon Rouge or Margaux du Château Margaux, and it comes from a Premier Grand Cru Classé property from the 1855 classification. In the Bordeaux selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out for more than reputation alone: the vintage, the selection and the historical context all matter here.
Cabernet sauvignon forms the core of the blend at 87%, supported by merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. Only 35% of the 2015 harvest was selected for the Grand Vin, a notably strict choice by the estate. The year produced small berries with thicker skins, and Château Margaux described its (…)Chateau Margaux 2017 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Margaux 2017 Demi (37,5cl)
On request only
Château Margaux 2017 Demi is the Grand Vin of Château Margaux in half-bottle format, from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. This is the estate's first wine, a Premier Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, and should not be confused with Pavillon Rouge or Margaux du Château Margaux.
The blend is led decisively by cabernet sauvignon, with merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot in supporting roles. Cabernet sauvignon gives the wine its firm framework, while the merlot lots selected for 2017 bring softer fruit, roundness and volume. Only 37% of the harvest went into the Grand Vin, a clear indication of the level of selection behind this release.
The 2017 vintage has its own particular story. After April frost, (…)Chateau Margaux 2019

Chateau Margaux 2019
On request only
Chateau Margaux 2019 is the estate's Grand Vin from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc, Bordeaux. It is the first wine of the château and part of the Premier Grand Cru Classé group from the 1855 classification. For the 2019 vintage, the Grand Vin was selected from 37% of the harvest, a detail that says a great deal about the level of selection behind the bottle.
Cabernet sauvignon sits at the centre of the blend, making up 90%, with merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot completing the composition. One notable point in 2019 is the inclusion of merlot from the Haut-du-Jardin parcel, mentioned by the château for the body and roundness it brings. The vineyards are rooted in a mosaic of gravel, clay and limestone soils, allowing the estate to work (…)Chateau Margaux 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Margaux 2019 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château Margaux 2019 Magnum is the 1.5 litre presentation of the Grand Vin du Château Margaux, a dry red Bordeaux from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. The magnum designation refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle where provenance, vintage and format all matter: unmistakably Château Margaux, with the 2019 vintage giving its own precise voice to the wine.
Cabernet sauvignon forms the backbone of the blend at 90%, supported by 7% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. The Grand Vin represented 37% of the harvest, and the inclusion of merlot from Haut-du-Jardin is described by the château as bringing body and roundness. The red vineyards lie in the heart of (…)Pavillon Rouge De Chateau Margaux 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Pavillon Rouge De Chateau Margaux 2021 Demi (37,5cl)
In stock
Pavillon Rouge de Château Margaux 2021 is the second red wine of Château Margaux, from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux. This 37.5 cl half bottle carries the same wine identity as the standard bottle, simply in a more convenient size when a full bottle is not needed.
The 2021 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, with merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc completing the composition. One particularly noteworthy detail is the role of a young cabernet franc parcel on clay soil, which became a visible part of the blend for the first time in this vintage. It suits the character of 2021: a year shaped more by freshness, precision and floral detail than by sheer ripeness.

Pavillon Rouge De Chateau Margaux 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2022 is the historic second red wine of Château Margaux, from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. It comes from a strict selection within the estate, from parcels and lots not included in the Grand Vin, while remaining closely connected to the style and standards of Château Margaux. In 2022, Pavillon Rouge accounted for 32% of the estate's harvest.
The vintage gives this half bottle a particularly strong identity. At Château Margaux, 2022 was defined by heat and drought, with several heatwaves and more than six weeks without rain. The red grapes were harvested in September under conditions described by the estate as optimal. Château Margaux calls this the most powerful Pavillon Rouge it had produced up (…)Pavillon Rouge Du Chateau Margaux 2020

Pavillon Rouge Du Chateau Margaux 2020
On request only
Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2020 is the second red wine of Château Margaux, from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. It comes from the estate's own selection, made from parcels and lots that belong within the Château Margaux quality framework but are not included in the Grand Vin.
The 2020 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, supported by merlot, petit verdot and a small share of cabernet franc. Château Margaux notes an élevage of around twenty months for Pavillon Rouge, with a substantial proportion in new French oak barriques. The result is a serious, structured Margaux shaped by precision, fine tannins and ageing potential.
Bordeaux 2020 was marked by warmth, a very dry summer and a favourable September with sunny (…)
