Bordiga Monasticus is an artisanal Italian amaro from Cuneo in Piedmont, shaped by a clear sense of tradition. Its inspiration comes from monastic heritage, with alpine herbs, flowers, roots and spices forming the basis of its character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Monasticus as a digestif with a distinctly herbal personality. It follows the historical recipe of Cavalier Pietro Bordiga and, at 28% alcohol, brings together refreshing herbal notes and an elegant bitterness.
It is very much a post-meal drink: served neat for its full aromatic expression, or over ice for a cooler, fresher impression. The style is bitter and digestif in nature, yet lifted by freshness rather than weight.
