Klein Constantia 2019 is a natural sweet white wine from Constantia in South Africa's Western Cape, made from Muscat de Frontignan. In this 50 cl bottle, Vin de Constance reflects a vintage shaped by cooler, wetter and windier conditions, giving small concentrated berries, fresh acidity and slow, late ripening.
The picking process is central to the wine's identity. For 2019, Klein Constantia made 26 separate passes through the vineyard, ranging from grapes with higher acidity to very ripe, raisin-like berries. The components were first handled separately and then brought together later in fermentation to find the right balance between sugar, alcohol and acidity. Fermentation stopped naturally; this is not a fortified wine.
The wine then spent 18 months in (…)Klein Constantia 2018 50cl

Klein Constantia Vin de Constance 2018 is a naturally sweet white wine from Constantia in South Africa's Western Cape. Made from Muscat de Frontignan, it belongs to Klein Constantia's historic Vin de Constance cuvée. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle that deserves a little explanation: its charm lies not simply in sweetness, but in the way sweetness is held together by freshness, concentration and place.
The 2018 vintage developed through a long, slow growing season, with notably cool nights and a harvest that arrived later than usual. The grapes were picked in 21 separate passes between early February and mid-April. Earlier selections brought acidity, while later ones added greater ripeness and depth. That patient approach gives the final wine its (…)Klein Constantia 2018 Magnum (1,5l)

Klein Constantia Vin de Constance 2018 in magnum is a sweet white wine from Constantia in South Africa's Western Cape. Made from Muscat de Frontignan, it belongs to the historic Vin de Constance line, a modern continuation of the Constantia sweet wines that were internationally admired in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The 2018 vintage at Klein Constantia was shaped by a long, slow growing season, notable summer rainfall, cool nights and a later harvest. For this release, 21 separate batches were picked from early February to mid-April. Earlier picking contributed acidity and lift, while later selections brought ripeness and concentration.
Three years of maturation in a combination of new French oak, a small proportion of acacia casks and large foudres gives (…)Klein Constantia 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Klein Constantia 2019 Magnum is a naturally sweet white wine from Constantia in South Africa, presented in a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of wine we like to introduce slowly: not just as a sweet wine, but as a carefully built expression of Muscat, vintage conditions and patient maturation.
The wine is made from Muscat de Frontignan. In 2019, Constantia had a cool, wet and windy spring, affecting flowering and giving smaller berries with lower yields. Harvest was spread over 26 separate pickings from late February to late March, ranging from fruit with high acidity to very ripe, partly dried grapes. That range of material is central to the wine's style: concentrated and sweet, yet held together by freshness.

Klein Constantia 2021 50cl is the 2021 Vin de Constance from Klein Constantia Estate in Constantia, Western Cape. It is a naturally sweet white wine made from Muscat de Frontignan, presented here in the 50 cl format, and shaped by a cooler, later growing season that allowed the fruit to develop slowly and with concentration.
The 2021 vintage was built with remarkable precision. Harvest began on 9 March and continued over three weeks, with Klein Constantia vinifying 25 separate batches. Some brought lower sugar and higher acidity, while the later pickings added sweetness and intensity. After fermentation stopped naturally, the wine was matured for 18 months in 500-litre Hungarian and French oak barrels, followed by 16 months in a large wooden foudre.
