Château Rol Valentin 2022 is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from France, built mainly around Merlot with Cabernet Franc and a small share of Malbec. The estate draws on vineyards near Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse and Saint-Émilion, with limestone, clay-limestone slopes and sandy deposits over clay. That background comes through in a wine shaped by ripe dark fruit, firm structure and a mineral undertone.
The 2022 vintage spent 19 months in barrel, with 40% new oak. It sits in a modern, concentrated Saint-Émilion style, though the available tasting notes suggest the oak is less dominant than in some earlier releases. The estate works without herbicides, is HVE3 certified and, in the 2022 classification, joined the Grands Crus Classés of (…)Les Valentines 2018

Les Valentines 2018 is the second wine of Château Rol Valentin in Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux. It carries the estate's identity in a generous right-bank style, built mainly around Merlot with a smaller share of Cabernet Franc. The emphasis is on ripe dark fruit, structure and the polished influence of oak ageing.
The detail behind the wine is worth noting. The grapes come from vines averaging around 40 years old, planted on old sandy soils over clay and on clay-limestone slopes and plateaus. Selection starts in the vineyard, followed by harvesting in small crates, destemming, further sorting and no crushing. Fermentation takes place by grape variety in small wooden vats, with gentle pigeage, before ageing on the lees in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.
