Octomore 15.2 Tube Incl.
In stock
Octomore 15.2 is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at a firm 57.9% ABV. Distilled in 2018 and aged for 5 years, it is a whisky that speaks more through intensity and distillate-driven presence than through long, mellow maturation.
The Cognac finish gives this release its particular angle. It frames the clearly peated Islay character with a restrained layer of wood, spice, salinity and a light floral touch, while keeping the peat at the centre of the whisky rather than pushing the cask influence forward.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits naturally among the more characterful single malts: young, powerful, unmistakably peated, and shaped by a finishing cask that adds definition without taking away the directness of Octomore 15.2.

Port Askaig Cask Strength Batch 2
On request only
Port Askaig Cask Strength Batch 2 is built around a place rather than a distillery name. Port Askaig sits on the north-eastern coast of Islay, where the ferry leaves for Jura, with Bunnahabhain and Caol Ila nearby. That gives this single malt a clear Islay setting while keeping its exact identity deliberately tied to the Port Askaig style.
Batch #02-2024 is bottled at cask strength, 59.1%, and is drawn from no more than 60 casks. The make-up is clearly stated: PX, oloroso butts and hogsheads, refill butts and hogsheads, plus a small proportion of bourbon barrels. It reads less like a fixed house bottling and more like a defined batch with its own particular voice.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits naturally among the more powerful Islay malts: peated, (…)Ballechin 2014 Lmdw Tube Incl.

Ballechin 2014 Lmdw Tube Incl.
Only 3 left in stock!
Ballechin 2014 Lmdw is a Scottish Highland single malt built around a clear peated character. It was drawn from a single Bourbon Barrel and bottled at cask strength, so the appeal here lies in the directness of one individual cask rather than a broader batch composition.
Distilled on 10 December 2014 and bottled on 23 July 2024, it spent 10 years maturing before being released at 58.4% alcohol. Only 225 bottles were produced, and with the final bottles now in focus, it has the naturally limited feel that makes a release stand out in the Drankenshop Broekmans whisky selection.
The flavour direction is led by peat, with lighter supporting notes of fruit, spice, salt, wood and a floral touch. The Bourbon Barrel influence frames the whisky without turning it into (…)Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14
In stock
Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14 is a strong example of how Glengyle Distillery brings powerful peat together with the distinctive Campbeltown style. The malt is peated to around 45 ppm, yet the whisky is not simply about smoke. The oily, maritime and refined Kilkerran character remains firmly in place.
Maturation took place in 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks, giving this batch a mix of freshness, sweet malt and added depth. Bottled at cask strength at 58.3%, without chill filtration and without added colouring, it comes across as a direct and energetic expression of the Heavily Peated series.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to drinkers who enjoy Campbeltown single malt in a more intense, smoky form. With the (…)Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley 1l

Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley 1l
Only 3 left in stock!
Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley 1l is an Islay single malt with peat smoke firmly at the centre of its identity. The name points to Napa Valley, while the available cask information mentions bourbon and wine casks. That combination gives this release its particular appeal: recognisably smoky Ardbeg, with a wine-cask angle adding another dimension around the core style.
With no age statement and bottled at 46%, the focus is on composition and character rather than age. Peat is the clearest element, supported by lighter notes of wood, spice, fruit, saltiness and a subtle floral touch. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone curious about an Ardbeg that keeps its Islay smoke but brings a different cask perspective into the (…)Smokehead Rum Rebel (Ian Macleod) Tube Incl.

Smokehead Rum Rebel (Ian Macleod) Tube Incl.

Smokehead Rum Rebel is an Islay single malt with a clear sense of attitude: peated Scotch whisky given an extra twist through a rum cask finish. The name captures the idea well. It stays close to Smokehead's smoky identity, while the cask choice gives this release its own direction within the range.
There is no age statement here, so the focus sits firmly on style rather than years in cask. The profile is built around a clear peated core, with lighter touches of fruit, spice, wood, saltiness and floral notes adding shape around it.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Rum Rebel sits well among Islay whiskies for drinkers who enjoy smoke but also appreciate a less conventional finish. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its character without turning the (…)Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength

Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength
On request only
Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength takes the familiar Sanaig recipe and presents it with more natural force. It is made from the same cask recipe as the regular Sanaig release, with maturation mainly in oloroso sherry casks, but instead of being reduced with water after cask selection, it is bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.8%.
That higher strength gives the whisky a more concentrated voice. The Islay peat smoke is rich and assertive, with cinnamon sweetness, stone fruit, waves of citrus, mixed spices and dark chocolate all coming through from the sherry-led maturation. It is a powerful single malt, but the intensity is there to carry flavour rather than simply alcohol.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this limited edition stands out for drinkers who (…)Ardbeg 19y Traigh Bhan 5th Edition Incl. Box

Ardbeg 19y Traigh Bhan 5th Edition Incl. Box
Very last one in stock!
Ardbeg 19y Traigh Bhan 5th Edition is a 19-year-old Islay single malt with a very defined place in the Ardbeg range. Distilled in 2004 and presented as the fifth edition, it carries the feeling of a release tied to a specific moment rather than a general expression.
Its maturation in bourbon and sherry casks gives structure to the whisky while keeping the Islay identity at the centre. Bottled at 46.2%, it has enough strength to support its peated character without turning the presentation into a purely high-proof statement.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Ardbeg we would point out to someone interested in older releases and bottles with collectable appeal. The collectors item indication matters here: it frames this bottle as a particular edition (…)Mars Tsunuki Peated

Mars Tsunuki Peated shows the smoky side of Japanese single malt in a very direct way. The name already sets the tone: this is a peated Tsunuki, bottled at 50%, giving the whisky enough strength and presence without presenting it as a cask strength release.
The bourbon barrel maturation and multivintage composition add useful context. With 14,830 bottles produced, this is a clearly defined release, and the combination of collector's item status and last bottles gives it a particular relevance within the Drankenshop Broekmans selection for drinkers who follow more distinctive Japanese single malts.
Its appeal lies in that clear peated direction, supported by lighter fruity, floral, spicy, woody and salty accents. It is not a whisky built around endless detail, (…)Hakushu Spanish Oak 2021

Hakushu Spanish Oak 2021 is a Japanese single malt with a very specific identity. The name points to Spanish Oak, while the product data places it in a sherry matured style, giving this 2021 release a more defined cask-led context than a standard everyday bottling.
At 48% alcohol, it has enough strength to carry its profile with confidence. No age statement is given, so the focus moves naturally towards the release itself, the maturation reference and the flavour direction rather than a number on the label.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this stand out because they combine Japanese single malt, limited availability and a collector-oriented character. With only the last bottles indicated, Hakushu Spanish Oak 2021 is best understood as a scarce release (…)Kilchoman Machir Bay + 2 Glasses

Kilchoman Machir Bay is Kilchoman's flagship single malt, named after the beautiful beach close to the distillery on Islay. In this gift pack, with two glasses included, it becomes a thoughtful way to present a whisky that speaks very clearly of its island origin.
The style is smoky, yet refined. Sherry and bourbon cask influences shape the whisky around peat, fruit and vanilla, while the 46% strength gives it enough presence without turning it into something overly forceful.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of set we like for someone who wants to give an Islay single malt with real character and a polished presentation. Its gold medal at the IWSC 2015 adds a nice point of recognition to a whisky that already has a strong identity.

Smokehead Tequila Cask Terminado is a Scottish Islay single malt with a distinctly Smokehead attitude. It takes the bold Islay style in a less conventional direction without losing the smoky identity behind the name.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy peated whisky but also like a cask finish that brings something different to the conversation. There is no age statement here; the focus is on style, cask influence and the contrast between smoke and spice.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottling we like to present as a cask-driven discovery rather than just another peated whisky. It comes from a single cask, #404, and is bottled at 46%, so the focus stays on one particular selection and its individual development.

Big Peat Liege 2022 brings Islay whisky together with a distinctly Belgian reference. This Douglas Laing World Tour Liège Edition was released in early April 2022, just before Liège-Bastogne-Liège, with the bottle and label nodding to Belgium's oldest cycling classic.
The whisky is a blended malt built from several Islay distilleries, including Ardbeg, Bowmore and Caol Ila. That gives it a clear peat-driven Islay identity, though this edition also carries a fresh and fruit-led side. The higher proportion of Caol Ila compared with other versions gives this release its own place within the Big Peat family.

As a single cask release bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, it feels deliberately specific rather than broadly polished. Only 230 bottles were drawn from this cask, making it a focused snapshot of one barrel's development. Ruadh Mhor 2010 15y #8027 is a Highland single malt with a firm sense of identity. The peat is clearly part of the whisky, while the Oloroso finish brings in a drier sherry influence with nuts, orange and a pleasant bite.
Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled this release as part of Berry's Exceptional Casks. Their Odyssey concept is built around matching Scottish single malts with selected wine casks from across Europe, taking time to find the right cask rather than rushing the process.
