Talisker 30y 2022 Incl. Box

Talisker 30y 2022 shows the Skye single malt in a mature and concentrated form. Talisker is described as the oldest distillery on the island, part of island life since 1830, and this 30-year-old release brings forward the elements that define its identity: pepper, smoke and fruit, carried with the depth of long ageing.
The bottling celebrates the Cuillin mountain range, the summit of Skye. That reference suits the whisky well. It gives the impression of looking across the island from above, with maritime freshness, spice, gentle smoke and ripe fruit all coming through in a composed way. American Oak adds structure, wood spice and a softer vanilla note without taking attention away from the Talisker character.

Laphroaig 33y Ian Hunter Batch 3

Laphroaig 33y Ian Hunter Batch 3 presents an older, more limited side of this Islay single malt. Distilled in 1987 and matured for 33 years in refill bourbon casks, it places time and cask influence at the centre of the experience rather than relying on immediate impact alone.
Bottled at cask strength at 49.9%, Batch 3 was released in a run of 4800 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see a whisky like this as a more contemplative Laphroaig: still rooted in Islay, yet shaped by long maturation and increasingly scarce now that only the last bottles remain.
The supplied flavour profile points towards clear wood and spice, supported by lighter fruity, salty and peated notes. That gives the whisky an Islay connection without presenting peat as the dominant (…)Highland Malt2000 21y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

Highland Malt2000 21y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

Highland Malt2000 21y is a Scottish single malt with an intentionally undisclosed origin. The name gives just enough to set the scene Highland, distilled in 2000, matured for 21 years while keeping the distillery out of focus. That makes the cask itself the centre of attention.
Bottled in 2022 by Campbeltown Whisky Company under the Watt Whisky label, this release comes from a single sherry hogshead and was filled at cask strength, 55.2% ABV. Only 308 bottles were produced, so it represents one particular cask rather than a broad house style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of whisky that rewards curiosity: mature Highland single malt, shaped by sherry wood, bottled without dilution and now down to the last bottles. The appeal lies in its (…)Port Askaig 25y New Incl. Box

Temporarily sold out
Port Askaig 25 Year Old is an Islay single malt with real maturity behind it. This 25-year-old release is the second bottling in a series of older Port Askaig whiskies, ranging from 20 to 28 years. Each batch is limited, yet the range is designed so that a following release becomes available as stocks run low.
It has matured entirely in refill American oak hogsheads. That detail says a great deal about the style: the oak is present, but it does not dominate the whisky. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present as a mature Islay whisky where time, cask restraint and layered development matter more than sheer force.
Bottled at 45.8%, it has enough structure to carry its age and island character. Smoke, gentle salinity, spice and (…)Bowmore 18y Sherry Incl. Box

Bowmore 18y Sherry shows a mature, layered side of Islay single malt. Aged for 18 years, it matured in carefully selected bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, with an additional finish in Pedro Ximînez.
The cask influence brings depth rather than simple sweetness: dark chocolate tones, fruit, spice and wood sit alongside a measured thread of peat and a light coastal note. It keeps the Bowmore identity connected to Islay, while placing the emphasis on sherry richness, maturity and controlled complexity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for an 18-year-old single malt with real depth of flavour, where sherry cask character and island influence meet in a composed, intense style.

Ballechin 2004 19y Small Batch Madeira is a Highland single malt built around maturation, age and strength. Distilled in April 2004 and aged for 19 years, it carries a clear Madeira-matured identity within a small batch release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would present to someone looking for more than a standard-strength single malt. Bottled at 53.5%, it keeps its natural intensity, allowing the wood influence, spice and fruit to remain firmly present.
The profile suggests a mature and structured whisky, with fruit, oak and spice at the centre, supported by a gentle peated touch and a light salty edge. Port Ellen 1979 32y 11th is an Islay single malt with rarity written into its very structure. Distilled in 1979 and matured for 32 years, it is the kind of whisky that invites a slower, more considered introduction. With 2,988 bottles released and identified as a collector's item, this is not a routine bottling but a limited old single malt with a very clear sense of place and time.
The maturation in American and European oak gives the whisky a firm frame of wood and spice, while its Islay origin is reflected in a clear peated side and a light saline accent. Bottled at cask strength, 53.9%, it keeps its natural power rather than being softened down to a standard drinking strength.

Talisker 41y Bodegas

Talisker 41y Bodegas is a mature single malt from Skye, distilled in 1978 and bottled after 41 years of ageing. Its appeal lies in that long development, but also in the way the whisky has been given a sherry finish, adding another layer to an already deeply aged Talisker.
The Bodegas name points towards that sherry influence. In style, the whisky brings together clear wood, spice and fruit, with a lighter thread of salt and peat keeping the island origin in view. It is bottled at 50.7%, giving the release a serious presence without needing to overstate it.

The whisky itself is a 12-year-old Highland single malt bottled at 52.5% cask strength. Its maturation in a mix of American and European oak casks that previously held Laphroaig whisky gives it a distinctly smoky, savoury and spicy direction. The peat is part of the personality here, supported by spice, a touch of fruit and a subtle wood influence.

The Oloroso Sherry cask is central to its identity. The profile points towards clear wood influence and spice, with fruit playing a quieter supporting role. A light peated note adds definition without taking over the whisky's Highland character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of independent bottling we like for its focused personality: a specific Ardmore, shaped by sherry cask maturation and bottled with real strength. With only the last bottles remaining, it is also a release that feels increasingly finite.

An Islay 30y is a Scottish single malt where the age and origin do most of the talking. The distillery remains undisclosed, yet the essentials are firmly in place: Islay, thirty years of maturation, and a bottling by The Single Malts of Scotland under the Marriage label.
