Rumpublic Small Batch Jamaica (Rum Public)
Only 2 left in stock!
Rumpublic Small Batch Jamaica puts its origin at the front of the story. This is a Jamaican rum from Rumpublic, presented as a blend and linked to pot still distillation, with no age statement. Rather than building its identity around a number of years, it focuses on country, style and the way the rum has been brought together.
The Small Batch name gives this release a more focused feel within the Rumpublic range. At 43% ABV, it carries a little more weight than the most standard bottling strength, while keeping the presentation straightforward and uncluttered.
Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it is the kind of rum we place for customers who want a clear introduction to Jamaican rum through a bottle that keeps the message simple: Jamaica, blend, (…)Australia 2007 17y Elixir Trail (Elixir Distillers - Whisky Trail)

Australia 2007 17y Elixir Trail (Elixir Distillers - Whisky Trail)
On request only
Australia 2007 17y Elixir Trail is an artisanal rum from Queensland, bottled by Elixir Distillers as part of the Whisky Trail series. Its personality starts with the production approach: double distilled through column and pot still, then matured for seventeen years in American oak.
That age gives the rum a mature, developed feel, but the character described here is not only about oak. The available flavour profile points to a broad spread of impressions, with fruit, sweetness, gentle spice, wood and a light vegetal note all present in measured ways. It supports the description of a rich and complex rum without turning it into something one-dimensional.
With 450 bottles produced and the last bottles now indicated, this release has the feel of a small, (…)Diamond 2003 22y (Berry Bros Odyssey Range)

Very last one in stock!
Diamond 2003 22y is a Guyanese molasses rum with a very clear sense of place: Diamond Distillery on the Demerara River. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out for its focus rather than for any broad commercial style. Berry Bros & Rudd bottled it in the Odyssey Range as a single cask at cask strength.
The rum comes from Cask #49, distilled in 2003 and bottled after 22 years in a bourbon barrel. With only 234 bottles drawn, it is a tightly defined release: one cask, one long maturation, and a natural strength of 57.4%. That gives the bottle a very specific identity rather than the broader feel of a blended expression.
Its background is part of the fascination. Diamond is the last remaining distillery in Guyana and works with (…)Caroni 1997 28y (Berry Bros Odyssey Range)

Caroni 1997 28y from Berry Brothers is a molasses rum from Trinidad with a very focused sense of origin. Bottled from a single bourbon barrel at cask strength, it forms part of the Berry Bros Odyssey Range and presents one individual cask rather than a broader blended composition.
Only 130 bottles were produced, and with the last bottles now remaining, its scarcity is an important part of the story. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we value for its clear identity: a single cask, a defined vintage and a long maturation brought to the bottle without reducing its strength.
Distilled in 1997 in a traditional column style and bottled at 58.3%, it is a rum to take time with. The interest lies in following the character of that one cask and the way (…)Malecon 3y 1l

Rumpublic Origins Ghana & Eswatini puts provenance at the heart of the bottle. It brings together rum from Ghana and Eswatini, so the name is more than a label; it is the main idea behind the blend.

The production method gives this release much of its personality. The cane juice is cooked down at high temperature into syrup using a traditional 19th-century approach. Fermentation follows with selected yeasts and dunder, before distillation in an artisanal Müller bain-marie pot still, bringing an old Haitian distilling technique back into focus.
