Bologne 7y 2014 Vel (La Maison & Velier - Flora Antillarum)

In stock

Bologne 7y 2014 Vel is a Guadeloupe rum made from sugar cane juice and bottled by La Maison & Velier as part of the Flora Antillarum series. It sits in a more origin-driven style of rum, where the cane base, distillation and maturation carry the story rather than overt sweetness.

Distilled in 2014 in a traditional column, it matured for 7 years in Cognac casks. Bottling it at cask strength, 54.9%, keeps the presentation direct and concentrated, with the kind of presence one expects from a Velier selection.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the sort of rum we place in front of customers looking beyond the usual categories and into more distinctive sugar cane juice releases. Guadeloupe origin, Cognac maturation and the Flora Antillarum bottling context give (…)

Ricci Taureau 50cl Incl. Box

In stock

Ricci Taureau from Famille Ricci is a molasses rum built from two mature Caribbean components: 25% 10-year-old Jamaican rum and 75% 16-year-old Trinidad rum. That composition gives the bottling a clear sense of depth, with the Jamaican part adding aromatic drive and the Trinidad share bringing mature weight.

It was distilled using both pot still and column still distillation, then matured entirely in bourbon barrels. Bottled at cask strength at 65.6% ABV and without additives, this is a pure, forceful rum where concentration and authenticity are very much part of the experience.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Ricci Taureau is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a serious, high-strength rum with ripe fruit, texture and intensity. With only (…)

It is not presented as a broad, softened house style, but as a focused selection from one individual cask.

Distilled in 2013 using a traditional column still and bottled on 8 June 2022 after 8 years of maturation, it belongs to the Elizabeth Yard with finishes range. The wine cask forms part of the identity of this release, adding to the sense that this is a very specific bottling rather than a standard expression.

Planteray Guatemala Belize (Planteray Blend) Incl. Box

In stock

Planteray Guatemala Belize brings together rums from Guatemala and Belize in a fresh Central American blend. Made in a multicolumn style, it shows a fruit-led side of rum with the polished Planteray approach that sits very naturally in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.

The maturation gives this rum much of its shape. It begins in ex-bourbon casks before travelling to south-west France for Planteray's characteristic double ageing in ex-Ferrand casks. That cognac finish adds a gentle layer of depth and wood influence, while keeping the fruity core clearly in view.

What stands out is the combination of plum, dried fruit and a subtle touch of oak, supported by honeyed, vanilla and caramel notes. It is not presented as a heavy style, but as a refined, lightly (…)

Not available for shipping

New Grove 3y Oak Aged Mini is a compact introduction to Mauritian molasses rum. Made by New Grove, aged for three years in bourbon barrels and bottled at 40%, it presents a fruit-led style with gentle notes of wood, spice and a light floral touch supporting the profile.

The bourbon barrel ageing gives it a clear step beyond unaged rum, while keeping the wood influence moderate rather than dominant. Its traditional column distillation points towards a clean and approachable style, shaped by both its molasses base and its time in oak.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like miniature releases like this because they make discovery easy: a small-format way to explore New Grove and rum from Mauritius without committing to a full bottle. With only the last bottles (…)

Foursquare 2005 16y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

On request only

Foursquare 2005 16y Tb is a molasses-based Barbados rum bottled by Thompson Brothers. Its appeal lies in the way the details come together: distilled in 2005, bottled in 2021, matured for 16 years and released as a single cask at cask strength.

The rum was aged in a Bourbon Barrel and made using pot still and column distillation. That gives this bottling a clear identity: one cask, one maturation path and a direct presentation at 57% ABV, without turning it into a routine house style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits among the more characterful rum selections: limited, cask-driven and rooted in Barbados. With only the last bottles remaining, it feels very much like a defined release rather than a rum that will simply stay on the shelf year after year.

Minoki Japanese Rum Incl. Box

Minoki Japanese Rum by Helios stands out first of all because of where it comes from. Japan is not the most obvious name in rum, and that gives this bottle a quiet sense of curiosity before the glass is even poured.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits naturally among rums for drinkers who enjoy looking beyond the familiar origins. The available details are simple and clear: a Japanese rum from Helios, bottled at 40% alcohol. Diplomatico Vintage 2013 Incl. Box

In stock

Diplomatico Vintage 2013 is built around the idea of a rum that is only released in limited quantities in outstanding years. This Venezuelan edition brings together the depth, elegance and layered character associated with Diplomatico, shaped by ten years of maturation.

For the 2013 vintage, Diplomatico brought three different types of its own distillates together before ageing, a first for this release. The rum then matured in ex-bourbon and whiskey casks made from American oak. That gives the bottle a clear sense of craft: a molasses rum tied to a specific vintage, with the wood influence supporting rather than overwhelming its rounded style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to introduce to customers who enjoy discovering a familiar (…)

Clement Blanc 1l

Not available for shipping

Clément Blanc 1l is a white rum made from sugar cane juice, a style where the raw material takes the lead. With no wood influence indicated, the focus stays on a clean and direct profile: floral and fruity in tone, with a light spicy and vegetal edge beneath it.

Traditional column distillation supports that clear, fresh character. At 40% alcohol, it has enough presence without moving away from the approachable nature of a white cane juice rum. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to point out to customers who want a white rum built around cane freshness rather than oak or sweetness.

The 1 litre format makes it a practical bottle to have on hand, especially for those who enjoy this style regularly. As these are listed as last (…)

In stock

Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard is a molasses rum with a very clearly defined identity. Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses Incl. Box

In stock

Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses has a more assertive personality than a classic easy-going sipping rum. Bottled at 50.5%, it keeps the strength and density suggested by the Rare Proof name, while remaining clearly built for tasting rather than simply for impact.

The supplied information points to a 2009 distillation and a 2022 bottling, after at least 13 years of maturation. Ageing in American oak bourbon casks gives a natural context to the caramel and wood notes found in the tasting description. Made from molasses and distilled in a traditional column style, it reflects a Spanish-style rum approach where maturity, spice and roundness play an important role.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle in front of someone looking for a rum with (…)

Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary

In stock

Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary is a Cuban molasses rum, distilled in 1992 and aged for thirty years. That long span of maturation sets the tone straight away: this is a mature rum shaped by time, with wood influence playing a clear role alongside a developed fruity side.

Its bourbon barrel maturation supports a style that feels more composed than exuberant. The profile points to noticeable wood and fruit, with lighter touches of spice and floral character in the background. Multicolumn distillation adds to the sense of a controlled, polished rum rather than a heavy or rustic one.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy older rum with a calm, grown-up presence. The 30th Anniversary name gives it a commemorative feel, but the (…)

Panama 2006 14y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Its appeal lies in the way the release captures one individual cask.
