Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2021 Demi is the half-bottle version of the estate's grand vin from Pauillac. At 37.5 cl, it offers the same wine identity in a more compact format, useful when you want to open a serious Bordeaux without committing to a full bottle.This is a red Pauillac from Bordeaux's Left Bank and a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. The 2021 blend is firmly led by cabernet sauvignon, at 88%, with 10% cabernet franc and 2% merlot. That composition also says something about the vintage: cabernet coped better with the year's difficult conditions than merlot.
The château worked parcel by parcel, using gravity flow and temperature-controlled conical stainless-steel vats. Yields were very low in 2021, at 15 hl/ha. Maturation lasted 18 months in oak barriques, 60% of them new, and the final blend includes 12.5% press wine, adding to the wine's structure.

This winery traces its origins back to the 19th century and is internationally renowned for its elegant red wines, in which cabernet sauvignon usually plays the leading role, often complemented by merlot and smaller proportions of cabernet franc and petit verdot.
