The liquid remains Citadelle Original: made from grain alcohol, infused with 19 botanicals and distilled in small copper stills. Before packaging, it is brought down to 44% vol., keeping the Citadelle taste intact in this larger EcoPouch format.
The format is the real point of difference here. This 2.8 litre EcoPouch was developed for the On-Trade and HORECA sector as a lighter, easy-to-handle and recyclable alternative. Citadelle states that the pouch weighs 17 times less than an empty bottle, meaning transport can require far fewer trucks on the road.
