It is the grand vin of Château Canon, from the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, and for this vintage it is identified as Saint-Émilion 1er Grand Cru Classé B. The 1.5-litre bottle is not a separate cuvée, but the magnum format gives this Bordeaux a distinctive place at the table or in a well-considered cellar.
The blend is led by Merlot, at 72%, with 28% Cabernet Franc. In the clay-limestone setting of Canon, Merlot brings fruit, roundness and texture, while Cabernet Franc adds structure, freshness and length. Château Canon 2019 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in France. Grown on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, it is built around a Merlot-led blend of 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc. The Merlot gives depth and flesh, while Cabernet Franc brings freshness, precision and a floral lift.
The 2019 vintage was shaped by a hot, dry summer, yet the château describes the wine as retaining juiciness, movement and poise. The grapes were harvested by hand, vinified parcel by parcel and aged for 18 months in French oak barriques, half of them new. The available tasting notes point to oak that supports rather than dominates, with the focus remaining on red fruit, floral notes, cocoa, chalky minerality and fine tannins.

Its origin on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion is central to the style. The blend is 68% Merlot and 32% Cabernet Franc, bringing ripe fruit and concentration together with freshness, fine structure and a clear limestone-driven tension. The grapes were hand-harvested and manually selected, with parcel-by-parcel vinification and gravity handling. Ageing took place for 18 months in French oak barriques, half of them new.

Château Canon 2022 Demi is the 37.5 cl half-bottle of Château Canon's grand vin from Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. It is a refined way to experience a major Bordeaux vintage in a smaller format, especially when opening a full bottle is more than the moment calls for.
The wine comes from the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, a defining part of Canon's identity. The 2022 blend is 75% merlot and 25% cabernet franc. The growing season was dry and warm, yet the estate highlights the role of its limestone soils in preserving freshness and structure in the fruit.
Each parcel was vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, filled by gravity. Maturation lasted 18 months with 50% new oak, including four foudres. The result is presented (…)
