Beaux Freres The Beaux Freres Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 is a red wine from Oregon with a very precise sense of place. It comes from The Beaux Freres Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, part of the Willamette Valley, where Pinot Noir has been planted since 1988.
The 2019 vintage gives this wine a cooler, more classical frame. Beaux Freres describes the season as evenly ripening, with sunshine, moments of rain and cool nights. For Pinot Noir, that kind of growing season helps place the vineyard character at the centre of the wine.
The cellar work follows a low-intervention approach: native yeast fermentation in small vats, no fining and no filtration. Maturation lasted 10 months in French oak barrels, half of them new. Beaux Freres The Belles Soeurs Cuvée Pinot Noir 2019 is a dry red Pinot Noir from the Ribbon Ridge AVA in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Rather than focusing on a single parcel, this cuvée brings together fruit from three estate vineyards: Beaux Freres, Upper Terrace and Sequitur. The producer describes it as a hand-selected barrel reserve, built around the combined character of those estate sites.
The 2019 growing season was marked by even ripening, sunny stretches, refreshing rain and cool nights. Harvest ran from 7 to 27 September. Fermentation took place with indigenous yeasts in small vats, followed by 10 months in French oak barrels, 50% of them new. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered, with total production of 1,225 cases.
