Knappogue Castle 1994 27y (La Maison Du Whisky - Ex Libris)
In stock
Knappogue Castle 1994 27y is an Irish single malt with a very particular story. Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2021, it combines 27 years of maturation with the individuality of a single bourbon barrel. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures one cask at one point in time.
Bottled by La Maison du Whisky for the Ex Libris series, it was released at cask strength, 50.3% ABV. With only 175 bottles drawn from the cask, and now marked as last bottles, this is a scarce release with a naturally limited presence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who appreciate Irish single malt in a more focused form: mature, cask strength, single cask and shaped by a bourbon barrel. The profile is led by fruit, with floral, woody and (…)Glen Garioch 2013 11y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)

Glen Garioch 2013 11y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)
On request only
Glen Garioch 2013 11 Year Old is a Highland single malt with a clear emphasis on fruit, creamy sweetness and gentle spice. Bottled by Cadenhead for the Original Collection, it brings together maturation in ex-bourbon casks and ex-fino casks, giving this release its layered but approachable style.
Glen Garioch, pronounced Glen Geery, is rooted in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, and dates back to 1797. Its history includes periods of closure and reopening, yet the focus here is very much on the whisky in the glass: an 11-year-old expression that shows freshness, fruit and cask influence without any peated character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottling stands out as a good example of how an independent release can present a familiar Highland name from a slightly (…)Knappogue Castle 1994 (La Maison Du Whisky - Ex Libris) Incl. Box

Knappogue Castle 1994 is an Irish single malt with the kind of story that immediately gives it focus. Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2022, it spent 28 years maturing in a bourbon barrel. Rather than a broad house style, this is the character of one individual cask at one specific point in time.
La Maison du Whisky bottled it for the Ex Libris series at cask strength, 52.2% ABV. Only 172 bottles were drawn, and these are the last bottles available. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for exactly that reason: they give whisky drinkers access to a narrowly defined, limited snapshot of maturation.
The supplied flavour profile places fruit at the centre, supported by clear floral, woody and spicy dimensions. Peat and salinity are not part of (…)Glengoyne 21y Incl. Box

Glengoyne 21y is a Highland Single Malt shaped by age and sherry cask maturation. After 21 years, it shows a mature, warming style, with its exclusive sherry cask ageing steering the whisky toward rich fruit, honey and gentle spice.
The distillery's own description of Christmas cake in a whisky glass captures the mood well. There is a generous, rounded quality here, supported by ripe fruit, oak and a cinnamon lift on the finish. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Glengoyne as a fine choice for drinkers who enjoy an older Scotch single malt built around fruit, spice and wood rather than peat smoke.
At 43% alcohol, it remains composed and approachable, but the flavour has plenty of depth. This is a whisky to take your time with: warm, mature and long on the (…)Teeling 32y

Teeling 32y

Teeling 32y is an Irish single malt with a story built around time, scarcity and a distinctive maturation path. Distilled in 1988 and matured for 32 years, it belongs to a much more selective side of Irish whiskey. With only 750 bottles released, it feels clearly removed from everyday bottlings and speaks to a very specific moment in maturation.
The Rum Matured cask reference is an important part of its identity. Based on the supplied profile, fruit is the leading element, supported by floral, woody and spicy notes. That gives the whiskey a sense of mature depth without making the wood the only point of interest.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that attracts attention through quiet detail rather than loud presentation: an aged (…)Rosebank 1990 30y Release 1

Rosebank 1990 30y Release 1 carries a strong sense of distillery history. This Lowland single malt was distilled in 1990, before the distillery's closure, and matured for thirty years before being bottled at 48.6%.
Its maturation brings together bourbon casks with a sherry or dessert-wine influence, adding depth while keeping the refined, elegant nature described in the tasting notes. Fruit sits at the heart of the whisky, with floral tones, spice and wood adding structure around it.
Limited to 4,350 bottles and marked as a collector's item, this first 30-year-old Rosebank release has a very special place in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection. Its interest lies in its age, its origin and its rare Lowland finesse rather than in sheer power.

Teeling 32y Very Rare Casks is a rare Irish single malt with real presence. Part of Teeling's Very Rare Cask Collection, it was drawn from a single cask and bottled at cask strength, 51.4%. With only 198 bottles released, and now down to the last bottles, this is a highly limited expression.
The whisky matured in an ex-bourbon cask before receiving a finish in an ex-Rivesaltes cask, linked to French dessert wine. That extra layer suits its fruit-led profile well: dried fruit sits at the heart of the whisky, with wood, spice and floral notes giving it further shape.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that tells a very specific story: not simply an old Irish whiskey, but a 32-year-old single cask from Teeling presented in a decanter and (…)Imperial 1995 30y (Signatory Vintage Symington's Choice)

Imperial 1995 30y is a Speyside single malt bottled by Signatory as part of the Signatory Vintage Symington's Choice series. Rather than a broad vatting, this release comes from a single hogshead cask, giving it the feel of one specific cask captured after three decades of maturation.
Bottled at 56.9%, it retains its cask strength presence. The available tasting information points towards warm honey, stewed apple and dry herbs, with fruit as the main thread and wood, spice and floral tones adding structure around it.

Teeling Rising Reserve N°2 shows the more mature, cask-driven side of Irish single malt. This 21-year-old whiskey spent more than 18 years in ex-Bourbon casks before moving for a further 3 years into high-quality ex-Marsala casks. That is long enough for the Marsala influence to become part of the whiskey's identity rather than just a brief finishing touch.
The maturation story is very much reflected in its style. The ex-Bourbon years bring sweetness and age, while the Marsala period adds red fruit, gentle spice and a fresh citrus accent. Fruit, wood, spice and floral notes all sit clearly within the profile, giving the whiskey a layered but composed character.

Shenk's Homestead 2019 is an American whiskey with rye playing a particularly important role. That substantial rye component gives this release a firm spicy drive, while the whiskey still keeps the sweeter side that comes through in caramel, toasted sugar and dried fruit.
For the 2019 edition, part of the fully matured whiskey was finished in toasted, uncharred French oak barrels. The oak came from the Vosges in France, was naturally air-dried and seasoned for 24 months, and then toasted to specific requirements. That finishing choice was made to bring the rye character more clearly to the surface.

The blend includes a 1989 Yoichi distillate and a 1979 Miyagikyo distillate, both matured in mizunara oak, alongside selected Ben Nevis casks from the 1980s. Distilled in September 2013 and bottled in April 2026, the whisky spent 12 years developing a style that keeps Arran's fruity, elegant side at the centre. The bourbon barrel adds creaminess and gentle vanilla tones, while the natural presentation at 48.4%, with no colouring and no chill filtration, helps preserve the whisky's full character.
