Islay Mist 21y
On request only
Islay Mist 21y is a Scottish blended whisky built around age, restraint and subtle detail. At 21 years old, it sits in a more mature part of the blend category, the kind of whisky that invites a slower approach rather than a quick first impression.
Its profile is not described as heavily wood-led. Instead, the character is shaped by light touches of fruit, floral notes, gentle spice, a saline edge and a measured hint of peat smoke. Nothing is pushed too far, giving the whisky a calm and understated feel.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the sort of bottle that draws attention from customers looking for an older Scotch blend with a soft smoky accent. With only the last bottles remaining, this 21-year-old Islay Mist also carries a quiet sense of scarcity.

Wolfburn Northland 8y Incl. Box

Wolfburn Northland 8y has a meaningful place in the modern story of Wolfburn. Northland was the first reference from the current distillery, matured on site and even bottled on Wolfburn's own bottling line.
Now carrying an 8 year age statement, it keeps the gentle, warming style associated with Northland. Its character comes from a slow, patient approach to making the spirit and careful maturation in American oak quarter casks. The result is a Highland single malt where the cask supports the whisky rather than taking over.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly engaging Wolfburn for drinkers who enjoy maritime freshness, a light touch of peat and a soft but present malt character. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to feel complete in the (…)Islay Mist 10y

Islay Mist 10y

Islay Mist 10y is a 10-year-old blended Scotch whisky with a character that stays measured rather than forceful. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits comfortably among whiskies for customers who enjoy a Scotch blend with a touch of coastal and smoky personality, but without a heavy wood-driven style.
The name Islay Mist already suggests part of its identity. The profile shows light peated and salty accents, with gentle fruit, floral and spice notes in support. Oak is not the main feature here, so the whisky leans more toward a clean, lightly smoky and approachable blend character.
Bottled at 40%, it keeps an easygoing structure while the 10-year age statement gives it more definition than a basic young blend. Its appeal lies in clarity and restraint: a Scotch (…)Milk & Honey Ex Islay Belgium

Milk & Honey Ex Islay Belgium
On request only
Milk & Honey Ex Islay Belgium is a single malt with a clear sense of focus: single cask, cask strength, and finished in an Islay cask. Distilled on 22 March 2018 and bottled on 22 June 2021, it captures the energy of a three-year-old whisky while presenting it at a robust 55.5% ABV.
Only 267 bottles were drawn from this cask, so this is less about a broad house style and more about one particular cask and its finish. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are appreciated for exactly that reason: they give whisky drinkers a compact, clearly defined snapshot rather than a standard bottling.
The Islay finish points the whisky toward a lightly smoky and saline direction, supported by gentle fruit, spice and floral notes in the supplied flavour profile. (…)Jack's Pirate Whisky 17y 13th Release (Jack Wieber's)

Jack's Pirate Whisky 17y 13th Release (Jack Wieber's)
On request only
Jack's Pirate Whisky 17y 13th Release is a Scottish single malt built around the individuality of one cask. Bottled by Jack Wieber's under the Jack's Pirate Whisky label, it presents a 17-year-old whisky as a focused release rather than a repeatable house style.
The details give it its appeal: single cask, cask strength, 52.8% alcohol and just 235 bottles filled in 2017. The Beer Cask reference adds another point of distinction, making this 13th Release stand apart within the series without needing to overstate the story.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for their specificity. One cask, one limited outturn, one bottled snapshot. With only the last bottles remaining, its small-scale nature is very much part of the experience.

Togouchi Premium Blend is a Japanese blended whisky with a calm, understated style. Rather than leaning heavily in one direction, it brings together gentle floral notes, light fruit, a touch of spice and a modest peated accent.
At 40% alcohol, it stays in a composed and approachable register. The whisky is associated with oak cask maturation, yet the supplied flavour profile does not point towards a strongly woody character. Its appeal lies more in restraint and subtle detail than in weight or intensity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Togouchi Premium Blend as a fitting choice for customers looking to explore Japanese blended whisky in a softer, more nuanced style.

Islay Mist 17y is a Scottish blended whisky with a clearly peated direction. The 17-year age statement gives it a more mature place within the blend category, while the smoky side remains central to its identity.
The appeal here is in the way the peat is supported rather than left on its own. Alongside the smoke, there are lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty accents, giving the whisky a broader flavour impression without moving away from its recognisably peated style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Islay Mist 17y as the kind of bottle that suits customers looking for a Scottish blend with a little more character. Its 40% strength keeps it approachable, while the peated profile gives it enough presence for those who enjoy smoke in their whisky.

Islay Mist 12y is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky with a clear smoky signature. At 40% alcohol, it keeps an approachable feel, while the age statement gives it a more settled place among blended whiskies.
Peat is the main point of character here. It is clearly present, supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty touches. That makes Islay Mist 12y a good choice for drinkers looking for a Scotch blend with a more pronounced smoky side, without moving into an overly intense style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone who enjoys blended Scotch but wants a little more peat-driven personality in the glass. It stays within the familiar world of blends, yet carries a more distinctive coastal and smoky (…)Islay Mist Peated 1l

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for drinkers who enjoy peat, but also appreciate the smaller details around it. The profile is not driven by oak; instead, the smoke is supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and coastal touches.
Bottled at 46.3%, it has enough strength to carry its island character and Rioja finish with clarity. Rather than leaning on an age statement, this Ledaig draws attention to the combination of Mull, peat and wine cask influence.

Smokey Monkey Shoulder brings out the smoky side of Monkey Shoulder in a Scotch blended malt whisky. The name gives a clear indication of its direction: the familiar Monkey Shoulder style, with an added smoky touch rather than an intensely peated character.
There is no age statement here, and the whisky is bottled at 40%. Bourbon cask maturation forms the base, while the flavour profile points towards light fruit, gentle spice, a floral hint and a restrained peat-smoke note. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for customers who want smoke to be part of the conversation without it taking over the whole glass.

Ardmore 2008 9y is a Highland single malt with a very clear sense of origin. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2018, it comes from a single refill barrel and was released by Berry Bros as part of Berry's Own Selection. Rather than presenting a broad house style, this bottling focuses on the personality of one individual cask.
Its cask strength of 54.6% gives the whisky a direct, concentrated feel. At the same time, the refill barrel suggests a restrained wood influence, allowing the peated Highland character and lighter supporting notes to remain at the centre.

The appeal here lies in the way the release is framed: a single cask bottling, presented at cask strength. Rather than presenting a softened house-style bottling, it gives a closer look at one individual cask.
Only 591 bottles came from this cask, so the appeal lies partly in its precision and limited nature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued because they show a particular slice of maturation, not a whisky blended to repeat the same profile year after year.

Inchfad 2017 5y Ww is a young Highland single malt from Loch Lomond with a direct, uncompromising feel. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022 after five years of maturation, it was drawn from a single hogshead cask. That gives this release the character of one specific cask rather than a broader, blended house expression.
The cask strength bottling is central to its identity. At 58.2% ABV, it keeps the whisky in a powerful and unsoftened form, with the limited run of 300 bottles adding to its small-batch appeal. As these are the last bottles, it is the kind of release that naturally stands out at Drankenshop Broekmans for customers who enjoy compact, cask-driven whisky releases.

The appeal here lies in its directness. The 50 cl format also suits the idea of the range: focused, limited and clearly tied to a specific Islay distillery style.

The appeal lies in the way the smoke is framed. There is peat, certainly, yet it is supported by gentle fruit, a touch of spice and a coastal edge rather than pushed into heavy intensity. It feels clearly smoky while still leaving room for detail.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of blended malt we like to introduce to customers who enjoy peated whisky but also appreciate a composed, well-made style. Bottled without an age statement and at 46%, it focuses on character and blending rather than on a (…)Orkney 2007 (Berry Bros)

Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023, it comes from a single hogshead cask and was released at cask strength. That gives the whisky a very direct identity: one cask, one bottling, no broad blending into a standard house style. At 63.5% alcohol, it clearly keeps the force of the cask intact.

Ardbeg An Oa takes its name from the Mull of An Oa, a piece of land reaching out into the sea and partly shielding Islay's coast from the rough Atlantic climate. That idea suits the whisky well: it remains firmly connected to Ardbeg's Islay identity, while showing a rounder and more approachable side.
The depth comes from a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez casks, virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks. These whiskies are brought together in a specially designed Ardbeg gathering vat, where the Pedro Ximénez casks contribute sweetness, the charred virgin oak brings spice, and the ex-bourbon casks help preserve that characteristic Ardbeg intensity.

Bowmore 9y is a Scottish single malt from Islay with a measured, understated style. The 9-year age statement gives it a clear place in the range of malt whisky: still lively, yet with enough maturation to bring its different accents together.
Its appeal lies in the fact that no single element dominates. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as an Islay malt for customers who appreciate the island signature without looking for an overly forceful whisky.
