Croftengea 2006 16y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

On request only

Croftengea 2006 16y Tb is a Highland single malt from Loch Lomond with a very clearly defined origin: distilled on 8 April 2006, matured for 16 years and bottled on 1 November 2022 from a single hogshead.

As a single cask release bottled at cask strength, it carries the imprint of one individual cask rather than a broader house composition. Only 479 bottles were drawn, and with the last bottles now in stock, it has a naturally limited place in the whisky selection at Drankenshop Broekmans.

The profile points towards a whisky where spice plays the leading role, supported by lighter wood influence and smaller touches of fruit, salinity and peat. At 50%, it has the presence one expects from a cask strength bottling, while still keeping the focus on the character (…)

Isle Of Raasay Core Release Incl. Box

In stock

Isle Of Raasay Core Release is a Scottish Islands single malt bottled at 46.4%. As the name suggests, this is Raasay's core release: a no-age-statement whisky built from multiple vintages rather than centred on one declared age.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, the interest here lies in the way the profile brings several island-style elements together without pushing one of them too far. Spice is the most clearly defined thread, supported by lighter fruit, gentle wood, a saline touch and a restrained peated note.

With 26,000 bottles, it feels like a broader official release while still carrying the particular identity of Raasay as a single malt from Scotland's Islands region. More information about the distillery can be found at https://www.raasaydistillery.com/

Talisker Dark Storm 1l

On request only

Talisker Dark Storm 1l is a Scottish single malt from Skye, bottled at 45.8%. What gives this release its particular direction is the charred cask maturation, placing the emphasis on a darker, spicier side of Talisker rather than presenting it as a purely smoky whisky.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Talisker for drinkers who appreciate spice at the centre of the profile, with lighter notes of wood, fruit, saltiness and peat sitting around it. The character is clearly defined, but the available profile suggests several supporting layers rather than one single dominant impression.

The one-litre bottle gives it a more generous format than the standard 70 cl size. With only the last bottles remaining, Dark Storm also has a more temporary place in the (…)

Compass Box Glasgow Blend

In stock

Compass Box Glasgow Blend is a Scottish blended whisky bottled at 43%, without an age statement. Rather than putting the focus on a stated number of years, it presents itself through the style and structure of the blend.

Its profile is driven by spice, supported by light fruit, gentle wood influence, a subtle salty edge and a modest peated note. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see it as the kind of Scotch blend that has enough character to hold your attention without becoming heavy-handed.

The multivintage indication points to a whisky built from different components rather than centred on a single vintage. That makes the composition itself the point of interest: a blend shaped around flavour, texture and balance.

Isle Of Mull 18y Macb (Elixir Distillers - Macbeth Series)

On request only

Isle Of Mull 18y Macb comes from Elixir Distillers' Macbeth Collection, a series of 42 Scottish whiskies built around the characters of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. This release represents the First Murderer, one of the unnamed killers in the play. That anonymity is reflected in the bottle itself: the whisky was distilled on the island of Mull, while the distillery name remains undisclosed.

The island connection matters here. In the Macbeth Collection, the murderers are malts from the outer reaches of Scotland, and this 18-year-old single malt carries that setting with a firm sense of place. It matured in American oak and was bottled at cask strength, 50.5% ABV. With an outturn of 2100 bottles and the last bottles now in circulation, it has a naturally limited feel within (…)

Talisker Port Ruighe Incl. Box

| 1 review
In stock

Talisker Port Ruighe is a Scottish single malt from Skye with a port finish that gives it a distinct place within the Talisker range. The focus remains on spice, while the port cask influence adds another layer alongside gentle fruit, light wood, a salty touch and restrained peat.

That combination is what makes this whisky worth exploring. It does not move away from its island identity, but it frames it differently: the finish adds depth without covering the sharper, more savoury side of the whisky. At 45.8% ABV, it has enough strength to carry that character clearly.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Talisker Port Ruighe as a Skye single malt for drinkers who appreciate spice, coastal accents and a subtle smoky edge, with the port finish bringing an extra (…)

Bowmore 16y Ruby Port Finish Incl. Box

Last one in stock!

Bowmore 16y Ruby Port Finish brings together two defining elements: Bowmore's Islay origin and a finishing period in port casks. At 16 years old and bottled at 43%, it is presented as a single malt where maturation and cask influence matter more than sheer strength.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle sits comfortably among Scotch whiskies for drinkers who want to see Bowmore through a slightly richer cask lens. Spice is the clearest part of the profile, with fruit, wood, salinity and peat smoke playing a more restrained supporting role.

That makes the Ruby Port Finish angle especially meaningful: it adds another layer to the whisky without turning it away from its Islay identity. It is a Bowmore where the port finish is part of the story, not just a (…)

Mossburn Signature Island (Signature Cask Mossburn)

In stock

Mossburn Signature Island is a Scottish blended malt built around style rather than an age statement. As part of Mossburn's Signature Cask range, it carries an Island-focused identity and is bottled at 46% ABV.

Its main thread is spice, supported by gentler notes of wood, fruit, saltiness and peat. That gives the whisky a more distinctive shape than a very soft blended malt, while still keeping the individual elements in proportion.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone looking for a Scottish malt with a little edge and a subtle smoky side. With the last bottles now in stock, it is also a release with limited remaining availability.

Highland Park 2000 (Signatory - Cask Collection) Tube Incl.

On request only

Highland Park 2000 from Signatory is the kind of bottling where the appeal lies in its precision. This Orkney single malt was distilled on 24 August 2000 and bottled on 19 January 2016 at 15 years of age, released as part of Signatory's Cask Collection. It comes from a single cask and was bottled at cask strength, with an alcoholic strength of 56.1%.

The cask was a Bourbon Barrel, giving this release a clear sense of individuality rather than the broader profile of a larger batch. Only 194 bottles were produced, and with the last bottles now available, it has become an increasingly scarce Highland Park selection. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for those who appreciate independent single cask releases with a very specific identity.

Laphroaig 32y

Very last one in stock!

Laphroaig 32y is an Islay single malt defined by age, scarcity and a more contemplative side of the distillery's character. Matured in sherry casks and bottled at cask strength at 46.6%, it brings together long ageing with a presentation that keeps close to the cask.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are treated as more than regular shelf whiskies. With 5,880 bottles released, marked as a collector's item and now down to the last bottles, this Laphroaig sits in that rare space where maturity and limited availability become part of the appeal.

The flavour profile points to an Islay whisky where peat and salt are present without dominating the whole picture. Spice carries more weight, with lighter touches of fruit and wood shaped by the sherry (…)

Rock Island (Douglas Laing Regional Malts) Tube Incl.

Only 3 left in stock!

Rock Island belongs to Douglas Laing's Regional Malts range, a series built around the classic whisky regions of Scotland. Rather than focusing on one distillery, it brings together single malts in a blended malt that is meant to express a regional character with clarity and personality.

In this case, the setting is the Scottish islands. Malts from places such as Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay shape a whisky with a maritime edge: salty waves, sweet earthy tones and a measured touch of peat and smoke. It feels more like a journey across island whisky than a portrait of one single place.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Rock Island is the kind of bottle we like to open the conversation with when someone is curious about island malt whisky. The Regional Malts series has (…)

The English Whisky Company 12y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)

On request only

The English Whisky Company 12y is a fine example of how compelling single malt from Great Britain can be when given time to mature. Aged for 12 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled by Cadenhead as part of the Original Collection, it feels focused on the whisky itself rather than on decoration or spectacle.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for the combination of an English single malt identity, independent bottling and a mature age statement. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its profile, with spice as the clearest element and lighter traces of wood, fruit, floral notes, saltiness and gentle peat in support.

With the last bottles now in our selection, it is the kind of whisky that rewards a curious drinker looking beyond the most (…)

Connemara Distillers Edition Tube Incl.

In stock

Connemara Distillers Edition is an Irish single malt with a clearly smoky and spicy direction. Rather than leaning on an age statement, it presents itself through style: peat, oak cask maturation and a flavour profile with real presence.

The oak cask influence supports the whiskey without making wood the whole story. Peated smoke and spice sit at the centre, with lighter touches of fruit and a subtle salty edge around them. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a good choice for customers looking for an Irish single malt with more depth and smoky definition.

Bottled at 43%, Connemara Distillers Edition keeps a measured strength while still showing a distinct personality. Its appeal lies in that combination of Irish single malt character and a more (…)

Shizuoka Pot Still W 2024 Tube Incl.

Temporarily sold out

Shizuoka Pot Still W 2024 is a Japanese single malt where the production method immediately gives the whisky its point of interest. It was made from imported barley from Scotland and Germany and matured in ex-bourbon casks, but the defining detail is the first distillation in the W-still, a still heated directly by a wood fire.

That wood-fired distillation gives this release a distinctly crafted feel, without turning it into a heavily smoky whisky. Mostly unpeated malt was used, so the peat appears as a light background note rather than a dominant feature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we like to present for its sense of place in the glass: grain, fire, bourbon wood and gentle smoke all playing their part.

Bottled at 55.5%, Shizuoka Pot (…)

Bowmore 14y Bordeaux Finish Incl. Box

In stock

Bowmore 14y Bordeaux Finish is built around a clear meeting point: Islay single malt on one side, a Bordeaux cask finish on the other. The whisky keeps its Scottish island identity, while the Bordeaux Finish adds another layer to a 14-year-old Bowmore.

What stands out here is the way the profile is shaped. Peat and a salty accent are present, but they do not take over completely. Spice has the stronger voice, with lighter touches of fruit, floral notes and wood sitting around it. That gives the whisky a more layered impression than a purely peat-driven Islay malt.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this kind of Bowmore as especially interesting for drinkers who enjoy Islay, yet want to explore what a wine cask finish can bring to a single malt. Bottled at 43%, (…)

Ballechin 2004 19y Small Batch Manzanilla

On request only

Ballechin 2004 19y Small Batch Manzanilla is a Highland single malt from Scotland with a firmly defined personality. Distilled in 2004, matured for 19 years and bottled at 55% cask strength, it presents itself as a whisky with weight and focus.

The Manzanilla cask adds an intriguing frame to a profile built around peat smoke and spice. There is a light salty edge, with fruit and wood sitting more in support than in the foreground. That makes the whisky feel driven by contrast: mature, smoky, spicy and just touched by saline character.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Ballechin we would point out to someone looking for a Highland single malt with more tension and structure than softness. The small batch nature adds to the sense of a specific, (…)

Ardbeg 2000 23y Y2k Incl. Box

In stock

Ardbeg 2000 23y Y2k is a mature Islay single malt with a very clear identity: distilled in 2000, aged for 23 years and matured in sherry casks. It presents Ardbeg through the lens of time, giving the whisky a more considered and distinctive place than a standard release.

The Y2k name draws attention to the 2000 vintage, while the 23-year age statement brings the sense of a long-matured bottling. The sherry maturation adds another dimension around the distillery's smoky and spicy side, with the available profile suggesting that wood influence remains present rather than dominant.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone looking for a more special Ardbeg rather than an everyday Islay pour. Its collector status and (…)

Caperdonich 25y Peated Small Batch

In stock

Caperdonich 25y Peated Small Batch is a Speyside single malt with a clear smoky side. That is what gives this whisky its point of difference: it carries the maturity of a 25 year old malt, but with peat smoke and spice taking a meaningful role in the overall character.

The hogshead maturation appears as a supporting influence rather than a heavy layer of oak. The profile stays focused on smoke and spice, with lighter fruit and a subtle salty edge adding extra definition.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Caperdonich as a whisky for drinkers who enjoy Speyside malt with more force and depth. Bottled at cask strength at 58.1%, it keeps a firm, concentrated presence, very much in line with the small batch nature of the release.

Talisker 11y Sr 2022

Talisker 11y SR 2022 is a Scotch single malt from Skye with a notably direct presentation. Aged for 11 years and bottled at 55.1% cask strength, it shows the whisky in a more powerful, less softened form, while still keeping its structure clear.

Its Bourbon Barrel maturation gives a measured wood influence rather than dominating the style. Spice is the main thread here, supported by lighter touches of fruit, floral nuance, saltiness and peat. That combination keeps the Skye identity in view, but with a compact, energetic feel of its own.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in front of customers who enjoy single malts with a more direct cask-strength character. With only the last bottles remaining, this SR 2022 release also has the (…)

Rock Island 10y (Douglas Laing Regional Malts) Tube Incl.

Rock Island 10y belongs to Douglas Laing's Regional Malts range, a series built around blended malts that capture recognisable sides of Scotland's whisky regions. Douglas Laing brings its independent bottler background to the range, along with the playful presentation and dry humour that make these bottles stand out on the shelf.

Rock Island is all about Scotland's islands. This 10-year-old blended malt brings together single malts from island locations including Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay. Rather than pointing to one single distillery, it gives the feeling of a coastal journey: wet rocks, sea spray, smouldering wood and a gentle thread of smoke.

Rock Island 14y Sherry is a limited blended malt from Douglas Laing's Regional Malts series, a range built around the classic whisky identities of Scotland's different regions. Rock Island represents the wilder island side of that story, with whiskies drawn from Jura, Orkney, Arran and Islay.

The sherry maturation gives this 14-year-old release an extra layer of richness while keeping the island influence clearly in view. There is room here for coastal freshness, gentle peat smoke, spice and darker fruit, all carried by a bottling strength of 46.8%.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly engaging Rock Island for anyone who enjoys the Regional Malts approach but wants a version with more sherry depth and maturity. As a limited edition now down (…)

Remarkable Regional Malts Mid Autumn The Asia Moon (Douglas Laing Regional Malts) Incl. Box

On request only

Remarkable Regional Malts Mid Autumn The Asia Moon is a Douglas Laing blended malt with a broader, more celebratory angle than the usual Regional Malts idea. The series is known for capturing the character of Scottish malt whisky with a playful sense of presentation, and this Asia Moon Edition brings together single malts from all Scottish regions in one limited release.

It was created in honour of the Moon Festival, and that sense of occasion suits the whisky well. The blend was finished in port, bourbon and sherry casks, then bottled at 50%, giving it enough strength and structure to carry its spicy, malty and gently smoky side with confidence.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as one of those Douglas Laing releases that has more personality than a (…)
