Black Bottle Island Smoke
In stock
Black Bottle Island Smoke is a Scottish blended whisky with a name that points straight to its centre of gravity: smoke, framed by an island-inspired style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits comfortably among whiskies chosen for drinkers who enjoy a clearly peated profile without needing a complicated presentation around it.
Peat smoke is the main thread here, supported by lighter details rather than heavy oak or spice. Gentle fruity and floral touches add some lift, while a salty edge gives the whisky a more coastal impression. Bottled at 46.3%, it has enough presence to carry that smoky character with confidence.
With only the last bottles remaining, this is one to consider while this particular Island Smoke release is still on our shelves.

Wemyss Flaming Feast (Wemyss Blended Malt)

Wemyss Flaming Feast is a Scottish blended malt with a clear sense of direction. Peat is the main feature here, supported by lighter fruity, floral and salty notes rather than by heavy oak or spice. The name gives the whisky a lively identity, but the style remains focused rather than cluttered.
The bourbon barrel maturation keeps the presentation clean and straightforward. As a Wemyss blended malt, Flaming Feast is less about a single distillery statement and more about shaping a recognisable flavour idea through selected malt whiskies.
With 6000 bottles produced and the last bottles now indicated, it has become one of those releases at Drankenshop Broekmans that carries a little extra urgency for drinkers who enjoy peated Scotch with a defined profile and (…)Akkeshi Blend Taisho Incl. Box

Akkeshi Blend Taisho is a Japanese blended whisky from Akkeshi's 24 Seasons series. As the eighth release in the range, it takes its inspiration from Taisho, the period of Great Heat from late July to early August, when summer reaches its most intense point.
The blend brings together grain whisky and peated Akkeshi malt, matured in bourbon and Mizunara casks. The Mizunara oak comes from the forests of Hokkaido, keeping the whisky closely tied to its northern Japanese setting. The indigo-blue label refers to the traditional colour of the summer Yukata, worn during festivals and firework evenings.
There is a strong sense of season behind this release: paulownia trees setting their first seeds, damp earth, humid air, occasional heavy rain, taiko flutes and (…)Islay Mist 17y

Islay Mist 17y
In stock
Islay Mist 17y is a Scottish blended whisky with a clearly peated direction. The 17-year age statement gives it a more mature place within the blend category, while the smoky side remains central to its identity.
The appeal here is in the way the peat is supported rather than left on its own. Alongside the smoke, there are lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty accents, giving the whisky a broader flavour impression without moving away from its recognisably peated style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Islay Mist 17y as the kind of bottle that suits customers looking for a Scottish blend with a little more character. Its 40% strength keeps it approachable, while the peated profile gives it enough presence for those who enjoy smoke in their whisky.

Islay Mist 12y

Islay Mist 12y is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky with a clear smoky signature. At 40% alcohol, it keeps an approachable feel, while the age statement gives it a more settled place among blended whiskies.
Peat is the main point of character here. It is clearly present, supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty touches. That makes Islay Mist 12y a good choice for drinkers looking for a Scotch blend with a more pronounced smoky side, without moving into an overly intense style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone who enjoys blended Scotch but wants a little more peat-driven personality in the glass. It stays within the familiar world of blends, yet carries a more distinctive coastal and smoky (…)Islay Mist Peated 1l

Islay Mist Peated 1l is a Scottish blended whisky with peat placed clearly at the centre of its style. Rather than focusing on an age statement, it presents a direct flavour identity: noticeable peat, supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty accents.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a straightforward choice for customers who enjoy the idea of a smokier Scotch blend without moving into a more specialised single malt direction. The 1 litre bottle also makes sense for those who like to pour this style more regularly.
Bottled at 40%, Islay Mist Peated stays within the familiar world of blended Scotch whisky, while its peated emphasis gives it a more distinctive place in that category. Additional information about the brand can be found at (…)Islay Mist Peated

Islay Mist Peated

Islay Mist Peated is a Scottish blended whisky with peat placed clearly at the centre of its identity. The name is quite direct, and so is the style: a smoky blend supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty touches.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this among the whiskies for drinkers looking for a peated Scottish blend rather than a whisky defined by age or heavy oak. No age statement is given, so the focus sits firmly on the flavour direction: approachable in strength, but unmistakably shaped by peat.
Bottled at 40%, Islay Mist Peated keeps to a classic drinking strength. Its character is not driven by pronounced wood influence, but by a peat-led profile with a few subtler layers around it.

Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja is a Scottish single malt from Mull with Ledaig's peated side clearly at the centre. The Sinclair Series name and the Rioja wine finish give this release its own angle, placing a wine-influenced layer around the distillery's smoky style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for drinkers who enjoy peat, but also appreciate the smaller details around it. The profile is not driven by oak; instead, the smoke is supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and coastal touches.
Bottled at 46.3%, it has enough strength to carry its island character and Rioja finish with clarity. Rather than leaning on an age statement, this Ledaig draws attention to the combination of Mull, peat and wine cask influence.

Ardmore 2008 9y (Berry Bros - Berry's Own Selection)

Ardmore 2008 9y is a Highland single malt with a very clear sense of origin. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2018, it comes from a single refill barrel and was released by Berry Bros as part of Berry's Own Selection. Rather than presenting a broad house style, this bottling focuses on the personality of one individual cask.
Its cask strength of 54.6% gives the whisky a direct, concentrated feel. At the same time, the refill barrel suggests a restrained wood influence, allowing the peated Highland character and lighter supporting notes to remain at the centre.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of independent Scottish single malt we like for its clear cask identity and unpolished presentation. With only the last bottles remaining, it has become a more (…)Blended Islay 2010 9y59,8 Wtcar (The Whisky Trail By Elixir - The Whisky Trail Cars Series)

The appeal here lies in the way the release is framed: a single cask bottling, presented at cask strength. At 59.8%, it has a direct, powerful presence, yet the supplied profile does not point towards heavy wood influence. Peat sits at the centre, with lighter salty, spicy, fruity and floral touches around it.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of independent Islay bottling that adds character beyond the familiar distillery names. Caol Ila 2013 8y is an Islay single malt with a very focused identity: one hogshead, eight years of maturation, and a cask strength bottling at 60.6% by The Whisky Trail by Elixir for the Silhouette Series. Rather than presenting a softened house-style bottling, it gives a closer look at one individual cask.
Only 591 bottles came from this cask, so the appeal lies partly in its precision and limited nature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued because they show a particular slice of maturation, not a whisky blended to repeat the same profile year after year.
The flavour direction is clearly Islay, with peat taking the lead and lighter touches of fruit, spice, floral notes and salt around it. Wood is not the main theme in the supplied (…)Caol Ila 2013 7y Artist (Signatory - Artist Edition) Incl. Box

Caol Ila 2013 7y Artist is a young Islay single malt with a very direct personality. Bottled by Signatory for the Artist Edition, it brings together Caol Ila's peated island style, wine maturation and a cask strength bottling at 57.2%.
At 7 years old, the emphasis is on energy and clarity rather than heavy oak maturity. The profile points to peat as the main feature, with lighter touches of fruit, spice, florality and coastal saltiness around it. The wine cask maturation adds another dimension, while the wood itself does not appear to dominate the whisky's character.

Inchfad 2017 5y Ww (Campbeltown Whisky Company)

Inchfad 2017 5y Ww is a young Highland single malt from Loch Lomond with a direct, uncompromising feel. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022 after five years of maturation, it was drawn from a single hogshead cask. That gives this release the character of one specific cask rather than a broader, blended house expression.
The cask strength bottling is central to its identity. At 58.2% ABV, it keeps the whisky in a powerful and unsoftened form, with the limited run of 300 bottles adding to its small-batch appeal. As these are the last bottles, it is the kind of release that naturally stands out at Drankenshop Broekmans for customers who enjoy compact, cask-driven whisky releases.

Pl6 2011 Elements of Islay is a Port Charlotte single malt from Islay, released as part of the distinctive Limited Edition range from Elements of Islay. In this series, each distillery is identified by a periodic-style symbol; Pl stands for Port Charlotte, with this release carrying batch number 6.
The appeal here lies in its directness. Distilled in 2011, matured for 7 years and bottled at cask strength at 55.3%, it keeps close to the character of the whisky rather than softening it down to a standard strength. The 50 cl format also suits the idea of the range: focused, limited and clearly tied to a specific Islay distillery style.

Ardbeg An Oa Incl. Box

Ardbeg An Oa takes its name from the Mull of An Oa, a piece of land reaching out into the sea and partly shielding Islay's coast from the rough Atlantic climate. That idea suits the whisky well: it remains firmly connected to Ardbeg's Islay identity, while showing a rounder and more approachable side.
The depth comes from a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez casks, virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks. These whiskies are brought together in a specially designed Ardbeg gathering vat, where the Pedro Ximénez casks contribute sweetness, the charred virgin oak brings spice, and the ex-bourbon casks help preserve that characteristic Ardbeg intensity.

Teeling Blackpitts is an Irish single malt whiskey with peat clearly woven into its identity. That immediately gives it a distinctive position: rather than presenting smoke as a faint background note, this bottling places the peated side of the whiskey firmly in view.
Matured in Bourbon and Sauternes casks, Blackpitts has a style-driven character rather than one built around an age statement. At 46%, it brings together a pronounced peated profile with lighter floral, fruity, spicy and slightly salty accents. In the range at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as an Irish single malt for drinkers who want to explore smoke from a different angle.

Octomore 10.4 is a Scotch single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, built around a very clear peat-driven identity. At 63.5% alcohol, it presents itself with real presence, while the supplied profile also points to lighter fruity, floral and salty accents around that dominant smoke.
Distilled in 2016 and matured for 3 years in New Wood casks, this release has a directness that suits its Islay origin. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place it among the more outspoken peated malts in the selection: not a whisky trying to be discreet, but one that shows its style immediately.
With 12,000 bottles produced and the last bottles now available, Octomore 10.4 also has the appeal of a finite Bruichladdich release. Its interest lies in that specific combination of (…)Milk & Honey 2018 3y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

This is a single cask bottling from a hogshead, released by Campbeltown Whisky Company under the Watt Whisky name. Only 319 bottles came from the cask, and with the last bottles now in circulation, it has the appeal of a small, finite release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we place among the more distinctive cask-strength discoveries: youthful, peated and focused more on distillate character than overt wood influence. Ledaig 2007 is a Scottish single malt from Mull, bottled by Jack Wieber's as part of the Prenzlow Portfolio Collection. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2016, it comes from a single oak cask, giving this release a much more specific identity than a larger batch whisky.
Only 120 bottles were produced, and with the remaining bottles now marked as the last ones, this is a very small-scale release. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for exactly that reason: they show one individual cask at natural strength, rather than a broad house style shaped for volume.
At 52.8% ABV, the whisky keeps a firm cask strength presence. The supplied flavour profile places peat clearly at the centre, with lighter fruit, spice, salt and floral notes around it. (…)Rock Oyster Cs (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

Rock Oyster CS is a Scottish blended malt from the Islands region, bottled by Douglas Laing as part of the Regional Malts range. It speaks very much in an island accent: peat is clearly at the centre, with a salty edge and a style that feels more driven by spirit character than by heavy oak influence.
CS stands for cask strength, and at 57.4% this whisky keeps a firm, undiluted presence. That strength suits the profile well, giving room to the peat while leaving space for lighter touches of spice, fruit and floral nuance.

Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a peated Scottish single malt bottled at 49.1%, and it brings a distinctly maritime side to the core Glenglassaugh range. It takes its name from the neighbouring village of Portsoy, with a style built around that coastal impression: deep, sea-influenced and carried by peat rather than dominated by it alone.
Its maturation combines bourbon, sherry and port casks, giving the whisky more than a straightforward smoky profile. There is room here for fruit, darker tones and a firm structure on the palate. The deep amber colour fits that richer, coastal mood well.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place Portsoy among the single malts for drinkers looking for peat with a clear maritime edge and a darker, weightier flavour direction. (…)Lagg Corriecravie Incl. Box

Lagg Corriecravie shows a richer, more weighty side of Lagg. That gives it a special role: this is the distillery presenting its own style in a clear, direct way.
Distillery manager Graham Omand has spoken of his hope that Lagg single malt will one day become heritage. Kilmory feels like one of the first steps in that story. It is matured entirely in ex-bourbon barrels and made from Concerto barley malted to 50 ppm peat, with specific yeast strains and fermentation time helping to shape a full, rich yet fresh profile.
