Caol Ila 25y Incl. Box

In stock

Caol Ila 25y shows a mature side of Islay single malt, shaped by long ageing rather than sheer force. Its profile is led by fruit and peat, while oak, spice and a light salty touch sit more quietly in the background.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone who wants Caol Ila with age and composure. The oak cask maturation supports the whisky, but the supplied profile does not point towards a heavily wood-driven style.

Bottled at 43%, Caol Ila 25y keeps its strength measured. The interest lies in the combination of mature single malt, clear peat influence and a distinctly fruity core.

The flavour profile is mainly built around fruitiness and peat smoke. These two elements are clearly present and define (…)

Laphroaig 25y B2016

On request only

Laphroaig 25y B2016 is a mature Islay single malt with a very clear sense of place and age. It brings together 25 years of maturation, cask strength bottling and a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, giving this release a more serious, contemplative side within the Laphroaig range.

The supplied flavour profile points to peat and fruit as the main pillars, supported by lighter touches of wood, spice and salinity. That balance makes the bottle especially interesting at Drankenshop Broekmans for customers who look beyond the standard expression and want a Laphroaig with age, strength and a collector's appeal.

B2016 marks this as a specific release of the 25-year-old, rather than a general statement of style. It remains firmly tied to Islay, but with the (…)

Big Peat Feis Isle (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

On request only

Big Peat Feis Isle is a special Islay release from Douglas Laing's Regional Malts range. That series is built around blended malts that capture the character of Scotland's whisky regions, often with a playful sense of presentation. This edition is tied to Feis Ile, the annual Islay festival that has become an important moment in the calendar for many whisky drinkers.

For this limited Big Peat bottling, Douglas Laing chose a rum cask finish. It brings a sweeter, richer and more fruit-led side to the familiar peated Islay style, while keeping the smoky island identity firmly in place. Peat, ripe fruit, gentle spice and a touch of salt all sit within the same glass.

Only 5,688 bottles were released worldwide, and with the last bottles now indicated, it has a (…)

Kilchoman Machir Bay Incl. Box

Temporarily sold out
Expected: 01/11/2026

Kilchoman Machir Bay is the flagship whisky of Kilchoman, named after the beautiful beach close to the distillery on Islay. That sense of place matters here: this is a Scottish single malt with a clearly peated Islay identity, yet presented in an elegant rather than heavy-handed way.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Machir Bay is a bottle we often turn to when someone is looking for Islay smoke with fruit and softness alongside it. The sherry and bourbon cask influence helps frame that style, bringing fruit and vanilla notes around the peat rather than pushing the whisky in only one direction.

Its gold medal at the IWSC 2015 adds an extra point of interest, but the appeal is mainly in how recognisable and well-defined the whisky feels. Bottled at 46%, Kilchoman (…)

Armorik Yeun Elez Small Batch Cask Strength Incl. Box

In stock

Armorik Yeun Elez Small Batch Cask Strength shows a more experimental side of French single malt. For Yeun Elez, Armorik worked with peated distillate and explored a wide range of cask maturations. This limited edition brings that approach into focus through a small batch drawn from sherry casks.

The recipe is built from sherry butts: 80% American oak and 20% Spanish oak. Distilled in February 2020, the whisky spent four years maturing in Breton cellars before being bottled in June 2024 at a natural cask strength of 56.3%. Only 1,200 bottles were released.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a compelling bottle for drinkers who enjoy peated single malt but are curious to discover it through a French and Breton lens. Smoke, sherry cask influence and cask (…)

Ledaig 18y Incl. Box

In stock

Ledaig 18y is a Scottish single malt from Mull with a clearly defined island style. At 18 years old, it carries a sense of maturity, while the 46.3% strength gives it enough presence without making power the main point.

Its most engaging feature is the meeting of noticeable peat and ripe fruit. The Oloroso Sherry cask influence adds context to that profile, with gentle wood, a touch of spice and a lightly salty edge sitting around the fruit and smoke.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would place in front of someone looking for a mature peated single malt that still leaves room for fruit and nuance.

The flavour profile is built around clear fruit and peat. The smoky side is evident, yet the fruit gives the whisky enough (…)

Compass Box Architectonics

In stock

Compass Box Architectonics is a Scotch blended whisky with a distinctly limited feel. Only 1400 bottles were released, and with the final bottles now remaining, it stands as one of those Compass Box editions that has a clear sense of scarcity around it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottling sits naturally among whiskies for drinkers who enjoy blends with a deliberate flavour direction. There is no age statement here, so the focus shifts away from years in cask and towards the composition itself: fruit and peat form the main lines, supported more quietly by wood, spice and a lightly salty edge.

Bottled at 49%, Architectonics carries more presence than many everyday blends. Its limited release and collectors item status make it especially interesting for (…)

Kilchoman Machir Bay 20cl

In stock

Kilchoman Machir Bay 20cl brings Islay single malt into a smaller, approachable bottle size, well suited to anyone wanting to explore Kilchoman without committing to a full bottle straight away.

Its character is built around maturation in sherry and bourbon casks, with peat clearly present but not standing alone. The profile gives fruit a noticeable role, while gentle spice, light wood influence and a touch of salinity add shape around the smoky core.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like for discovery: compact in size, yet still bottled at 46%, so the whisky keeps enough strength to show its Islay identity with clarity.

Islay Malt 1991 30y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

On request only

Islay Malt 1991 30y Tb is a Scottish single malt from Islay with its exact distillery name kept undisclosed. That discretion gives the whisky a different kind of appeal: the focus shifts away from the label and towards the cask, the age and the character of the spirit itself. Distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2021, it carries a full 30 years of maturation.

Drawn from a single bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength of 49%, this is very much the story of one individual cask rather than a broad distillery style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for precisely that reason: they show a specific, limited expression of mature Islay malt without unnecessary distraction.

Its profile points to a clearly fruity and peated whisky, with lighter (…)

Berry Bros Islay Bos (Berry Bros Classic Range)

On request only

Berry Bros Islay Bos is a Scotch blended malt from Islay, bottled by Berry Bros as part of the Berry Bros Classic Range. Rather than leaning on an age statement, it puts the focus on place and style: peat smoke and fruit form the centre of the whisky's identity.

At 44.2% alcohol, it has enough weight to carry its Islay character while remaining composed. The profile points clearly towards peat and fruit, with lighter touches of salt, spice and wood adding shape around the edges.

In the whisky selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would present to someone looking for an Islay blended malt with a clear smoky signature and a little more nuance than just peat alone. With only the last bottles remaining, it also has a more limited feel (…)

Longrow 21y 2023 Incl. Box

Last one in stock!

Longrow 21y 2023 is a Campbeltown single malt with the calm authority that comes from extended maturation. The 21 years matter here, not as a headline alone, but as part of the whisky's overall feel: mature, shaped by cask, yet still clearly carrying the peated Longrow identity.

Its maturation brings together 60% sherry casks and 40% bourbon casks. That balance gives the whisky room to move between exotic fruit, gentle sweetness, a touch of spice, coastal salinity and a dry peated close. At 46%, it remains expressive without feeling forced.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of release we like to present to customers who enjoy whiskies with a sense of place and patience. Only 3600 bottles were released, making the 2023 edition a limited Longrow with a (…)

Port Ellen 1983 32y 15th

In stock

Port Ellen 1983 32y 15th is the kind of Islay single malt that asks to be approached with time and attention. Distilled in 1983 and matured for 32 years, it was bottled at cask strength, carrying its 53.9% alcohol without dilution down to a standard bottling strength.

The bourbon cask maturation provides the setting, while the supplied profile points to a whisky where peat and fruit are clearly present. Salt, spice and wood sit in a more supporting role, adding structure rather than taking over the conversation. It is a mature Islay whisky with power, but also with a profile that is not built on peat alone.

Only 2,964 bottles were released, and with the final bottles now in view, its collector's item status is easy to understand. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we (…)

Mars The Y.A #2 Incl. Box

In stock

Mars The Y.A #2 is a Japanese blended malt from Mars Maltage, bottled at 49%. With no age statement given, the focus shifts away from maturation numbers and towards the composition itself: how the malt character, fruit and peat come together in the glass.

Its profile is built around clearly present fruitiness and peat smoke, supported by lighter floral, woody, spicy and slightly salty accents. That gives the whisky a more layered direction than a simple fruit-led style, while still keeping the main impression easy to understand: fruit and smoke are the two defining elements here.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to customers looking for Japanese whisky with a little more edge. With only the last bottles remaining, Mars (…)

Ballechin 18y Cask Strength 50,9 Tube Incl.

In stock

Ballechin is the name used for the heavily peated whisky from Edradour distillery, and this 18 year old single malt shows that style with real maturity behind it. It comes from the Highlands, yet the character is unmistakably shaped by robust peat smoke, sweet fruit and a darker touch of leathery oak.

Bottled at cask strength at 50.9%, it keeps a firm, natural presence in the glass. The bourbon barrel maturation supports the fruit and barley rather than dominating the whisky, leaving room for roasted nuts, wood spice and generous smoke. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to peat drinkers who want weight, age and development rather than just raw impact.

With the last bottles now remaining, this Ballechin 18 Year Old has an (…)

Port Askaig 28y

On request only

Port Askaig 28y is a mature Islay single malt where age has softened the edges without taking away the island character. After 28 years, the peat and coastal side are still there, yet they feel more composed, more elegant and more layered.

Maturation in bourbon casks gives space to fruit, citrus and gentle sweetness, while dry wood, smoke and a light salty note keep the whisky firmly grounded in its style. At 45.8%, it has enough presence to carry its age, but the real attraction is the refined complexity that time has brought.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would present as a thoughtful, mature interpretation of Islay rather than simply an old peated whisky. With 3000 bottles released and the last bottles now in view, Port Askaig 28y (…)

Talisker 25y 2015

On request only

Talisker 25y 2015 presents an older, more mature side of this single malt from Skye. The 25 years of age and oak cask maturation form the backbone of the whisky, while the supplied flavour profile points towards clear wood influence, fruit, peat smoke and a measured salty accent.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone interested in aged Talisker rather than simply looking for a standard everyday malt. The 2015 release was bottled in a run of 9,882 bottles and is marked as a collectors item. With the last bottles now indicated, it carries a natural sense of scarcity while still remaining, first and foremost, a whisky made to be appreciated for its mature single malt character.

The strength of 45.8% gives it (…)

Kilchoman Small Batch N°3 Incl. Box

On request only

Kilchoman Small Batch N°3 is an Islay single malt with a deliberately limited feel. With 1260 bottles released, it sits apart from a broad core-range whisky and focuses on a more specific small batch interpretation of Kilchoman's peated style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Islay whisky that earns attention because it does not rely on an age statement to tell its story. There is no age indication here; the emphasis is on origin, strength and the clearly smoky direction of the whisky.

The flavour profile places peat at the centre, with lighter support from wood, spice, fruit and a saline touch. Bottled at 49.6%, it has enough strength to carry that Islay character with confidence. As this release is now down to its last bottles, Small Batch (…)

Lagg Inaugural Release 3

In stock

Lagg Inaugural Release 3 belongs to the early story of Lagg on the Isle of Arran. This Scottish single malt was distilled in 2019 and bottled at 50%, with a Wine Finish giving this release its own place within the distillery's first wave of bottlings.

The release was limited to 10,000 bottles, and with the last bottles now in focus it has a particular relevance at Drankenshop Broekmans. We see it as a snapshot from the formative years of Lagg: young, clearly defined and already showing a firm sense of direction.

Its flavour profile points to a whisky where fruit and peat carry the main impression, supported by lighter floral, woody, spicy and slightly salty accents. The 50% strength adds presence, making this a single malt with a more pronounced stance rather (…)

Lagavulin 12y Special Release 2024 Tube Incl.

In stock

Lagavulin 12y Special Release 2024 shows the powerful, phenolic side that defines this Islay single malt, yet this edition also brings out a softer, sweeter and spicier dimension. The peat remains a central part of the whisky, but it is not the only point of interest here; there is a gentler layer underneath the strength.

Released as part of the Diageo Special Releases 2024, this 12-year-old Lagavulin is bottled at cask strength, at 57.4% ABV. That gives it a direct, full-powered presence and keeps the whisky close to its natural intensity, a fitting approach for a release built around Islay smoke and character.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone who already enjoys Lagavulin's smoky depth but wants to explore a (…)

Longrow Red 2024

Very last one in stock!

Longrow Red 2024 is one of those annual Campbeltown releases that tends to draw attention as soon as it appears. This edition takes its direction from wine maturation: four years in bourbon casks followed by three years in Pinot Noir casks. It keeps the firmer, smoky Longrow identity intact, while adding a distinct red-fruited layer from the Pinot Noir influence.

Bottled at 57.1% and at cask strength, it is not a softened or overly polished style. The whisky carries weight, spice, fruit, smoke and a lightly coastal edge. At Drankenshop Broekmans, annual Longrow Red releases like this are always worth looking at closely, because each one shows the malt through a different cask lens.

Here, the Pinot Noir maturation brings tension rather than simple sweetness: (…)

Ardmore 2008 10y (Asta Morris)

In stock

Ardmore 2008 10y is a Highland single malt with a very focused identity: one cask, one vintage, and a small outturn. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2019, it spent 10 years maturing in a bourbon barrel.

As a single cask release, it represents a specific selection rather than a broader house blend. Only 272 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now available, that limited nature becomes part of the appeal.

At 54%, this is bottled at cask strength, keeping the whisky close to its original form from the barrel. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Ardmore as a whisky for those who appreciate a more direct Highland single malt, with fruit and peat forming the main line of character, while wood and spice stay in a supporting role.
