Ballechin 18y Cask Strength 50,9 Tube Incl.

Ballechin is the name used for the heavily peated whisky from Edradour distillery, and this 18 year old single malt shows that style with real maturity behind it. It comes from the Highlands, yet the character is unmistakably shaped by robust peat smoke, sweet fruit and a darker touch of leathery oak.
Bottled at cask strength at 50.9%, it keeps a firm, natural presence in the glass. The bourbon barrel maturation supports the fruit and barley rather than dominating the whisky, leaving room for roasted nuts, wood spice and generous smoke. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to peat drinkers who want weight, age and development rather than just raw impact.
With the last bottles now remaining, this Ballechin 18 Year Old has an (…)Ardmore 2008 10y (Asta Morris)

Ardmore 2008 10y (Asta Morris)
In stock
Ardmore 2008 10y is a Highland single malt with a very focused identity: one cask, one vintage, and a small outturn. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2019, it spent 10 years maturing in a bourbon barrel.
As a single cask release, it represents a specific selection rather than a broader house blend. Only 272 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now available, that limited nature becomes part of the appeal.
At 54%, this is bottled at cask strength, keeping the whisky close to its original form from the barrel. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Ardmore as a whisky for those who appreciate a more direct Highland single malt, with fruit and peat forming the main line of character, while wood and spice stay in a supporting role.

Amrut Peated Cask Strength shows Indian single malt in a particularly direct form. Bottled at 62.8% ABV and presented at cask strength, it is built around intensity rather than restraint.
The main tension here sits between peat and fruit. The peated side is clearly present, yet the whisky also carries a noticeable fruity dimension, with oak and spice playing a more supporting role. That gives the whisky more shape than strength alone would suggest.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in the hands of someone who wants to experience Amrut with its volume turned up: peated, cask strength, Indian single malt, without an age statement taking attention away from the style itself.
The tasting experience is driven by peat (…)Corsair Triple Smoke

Corsair Triple Smoke

Corsair Triple Smoke is an American whiskey with a name that sets the tone straight away. Smoke is the defining idea here, giving the bottle a clear identity within the American whiskey category.
Maturation in American Oak brings a modest wood influence, with lighter touches of spice and fruit around it. There is no age statement, so the focus falls more on the whiskey's style and flavour direction than on a declared maturation age.
With 600 bottles released and the last bottles now in view, Drankenshop Broekmans sees this as a particularly interesting choice for anyone drawn to a smoky take on American whiskey.
The flavour profile is clearly built around smoke. Around that main line, there are lighter impressions of wood, spice and fruit, (…)Kilchoman Machir Bay Mini

Kilchoman Machir Bay Mini

Kilchoman Machir Bay Mini offers the distillery's flagship release in a smaller format. The name comes from the beautiful beach close to the distillery, a fitting reference for an Islay single malt where peat smoke, fruit and coastal character sit at the heart of the style.
Matured in sherry and bourbon casks, Machir Bay is bottled at 46% and carries no age statement. The supplied tasting description places it firmly in the smoky and elegant camp, with cooked fruit, peat and vanilla shaping the experience.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this miniature as a concise introduction to Kilchoman: expressive enough to show its Islay identity, yet rounded by fruit and softness. Its gold medal at the IWSC 2015 adds a useful point of recognition for a whisky that has (…)Kavalan Peated Lmdw

Kavalan Peated Lmdw
On request only
Kavalan Peated Lmdw is a Taiwanese single malt with a particularly distinctive background. In Kavalan's Solist range, each release comes from one individual cask and is bottled at cask strength, with the master distiller deciding cask by cask when the whisky has reached the right point. That gives this bottle a very specific identity rather than a broad house-style impression.
The Peated Cask element makes it stand out even further. The supplied information describes this as one of the few peated casks bottled by Kavalan to date, selected for La Maison Du Whisky. With only 124 bottles released, and now marked as last bottles, it is a notably scarce expression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Kavalan we would introduce to someone curious about a (…)Bowmore 18y Incl. Box

Bowmore 18y Incl. Box

Bowmore 18y is an 18-year-old Islay single malt bottled at 43%. It presents the more mature side of Bowmore, with time in cask giving the whisky a calmer, more developed presence rather than a forceful first impression.
The maturation in sherry and bourbon casks frames a profile where fruit is the clearest element, supported by gentle wood, a touch of spice and a lighter thread of peat. The Islay origin is there, but the peat does not dominate the story.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Bowmore 18y as a fine choice for those exploring Islay through a more aged and composed single malt. It is the kind of whisky that rewards a little patience in the glass, especially if you enjoy fruit-led character with subtle smoky depth.

Expected: 01/11/2026Amrut Peated brings Indian single malt whisky into a clearly peated style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone who wants to explore peat from a different angle, beyond the most familiar whisky origins.
Bottled at 46%, it has matured in oak casks and carries no age statement. The focus is therefore less on a number on the label and more on the way the malt, oak influence and peat character come together in the glass.
The peat is clearly present, supported by light wood, gentle spice and a modest fruity side. That gives the whisky a defined identity without making it feel one-dimensional.
The flavour is led by a clear peat presence, giving the whisky its main direction. Around it, lighter notes of (…)Kilchoman 100% Islay 15th Edition

Kilchoman 100% Islay 15th Edition is a single malt with a very clear sense of place. Everything happens on Islay, from growing the barley to bottling the whisky, so the name is more than a style reference. It is a release built around origin, continuity and the island itself.
This 15th edition was distilled from the 2014 and 2015 harvests and matured for at least 9 years in 54 ex-bourbon casks. That maturation brings caramel, vanilla and butterscotch into the whisky, while Kilchoman's natural citrus sweetness and peat smoke remain firmly present. The supplied profile points to fruit and peat as the main lines, supported by lighter wood, spice and floral touches.

Caol Ila 25y shows a mature side of Islay single malt, shaped by long ageing rather than sheer force. Its profile is led by fruit and peat, while oak, spice and a light salty touch sit more quietly in the background.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone who wants Caol Ila with age and composure. The oak cask maturation supports the whisky, but the supplied profile does not point towards a heavily wood-driven style.
Bottled at 43%, Caol Ila 25y keeps its strength measured. The interest lies in the combination of mature single malt, clear peat influence and a distinctly fruity core.

Laphroaig 25y B2016 is a mature Islay single malt with a very clear sense of place and age. It brings together 25 years of maturation, cask strength bottling and a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, giving this release a more serious, contemplative side within the Laphroaig range.
The supplied flavour profile points to peat and fruit as the main pillars, supported by lighter touches of wood, spice and salinity. That balance makes the bottle especially interesting at Drankenshop Broekmans for customers who look beyond the standard expression and want a Laphroaig with age, strength and a collector's appeal.

Only 234 bottles were produced, so this is a narrow, individual snapshot rather than a large-scale release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for the way they show a whisky in a more direct form. It is bottled at cask strength, 53.7%, giving the whisky a firm presence and keeping the single-cask character close to the source.

This edition is tied to Feis Ile, the annual Islay festival that has become an important moment in the calendar for many whisky drinkers.
For this limited Big Peat bottling, Douglas Laing chose a rum cask finish. It brings a sweeter, richer and more fruit-led side to the familiar peated Islay style, while keeping the smoky island identity firmly in place. Armorik Yeun Elez Small Batch Cask Strength shows a more experimental side of French single malt. For Yeun Elez, Armorik worked with peated distillate and explored a wide range of cask maturations. This limited edition brings that approach into focus through a small batch drawn from sherry casks.
