Nine Leaves 2018 7y Armagnac is a Japanese rum made from kokuto black sugar, distilled in a pot still and matured in Armagnac casks. It is a release with a very clear identity, where the raw material, the distillation method and the cask choice all play an active role in shaping the spirit.
The rum was composed from three 300-litre Armagnac casks and aged for 7 years. Bottling at 59% keeps the profile intense and close to the cask, with wood and spice standing out most clearly, while fruit, floral notes, sweetness and a light vegetal edge add detail rather than softness.

Nine Leaves 2020 5y PX is a Japanese rum with a distinctive starting point: it is made from kokuto and distilled in a pot still. That already gives the spirit a clear identity before the cask influence begins to speak.
For this small batch, the rum spent five years in two 400-litre Pedro Ximénez casks. The PX maturation is central to its aromatic and lively nature, while the 59% bottling strength keeps the presentation direct and energetic.
Only 929 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now in circulation, this Nine Leaves has a particular place in the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans.
