Planteray Guatemala Belize (Planteray Blend) Incl. Box
In stock
Planteray Guatemala Belize brings together rums from Guatemala and Belize in a fresh Central American blend. Made in a multicolumn style, it shows a fruit-led side of rum with the polished Planteray approach that sits very naturally in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.
The maturation gives this rum much of its shape. It begins in ex-bourbon casks before travelling to south-west France for Planteray's characteristic double ageing in ex-Ferrand casks. That cognac finish adds a gentle layer of depth and wood influence, while keeping the fruity core clearly in view.
What stands out is the combination of plum, dried fruit and a subtle touch of oak, supported by honeyed, vanilla and caramel notes. It is not presented as a heavy style, but as a refined, lightly (…)New Grove 3y Oak Aged Mini

New Grove 3y Oak Aged Mini
Not available for shipping
New Grove 3y Oak Aged Mini is a compact introduction to Mauritian molasses rum. Made by New Grove, aged for three years in bourbon barrels and bottled at 40%, it presents a fruit-led style with gentle notes of wood, spice and a light floral touch supporting the profile.
The bourbon barrel ageing gives it a clear step beyond unaged rum, while keeping the wood influence moderate rather than dominant. Its traditional column distillation points towards a clean and approachable style, shaped by both its molasses base and its time in oak.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like miniature releases like this because they make discovery easy: a small-format way to explore New Grove and rum from Mauritius without committing to a full bottle. With only the last bottles (…)Foursquare 2005 16y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Foursquare 2005 16y Tb (Thompson Brothers)
On request only
Foursquare 2005 16y Tb is a molasses-based Barbados rum bottled by Thompson Brothers. Its appeal lies in the way the details come together: distilled in 2005, bottled in 2021, matured for 16 years and released as a single cask at cask strength.
The rum was aged in a Bourbon Barrel and made using pot still and column distillation. That gives this bottling a clear identity: one cask, one maturation path and a direct presentation at 57% ABV, without turning it into a routine house style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits among the more characterful rum selections: limited, cask-driven and rooted in Barbados. With only the last bottles remaining, it feels very much like a defined release rather than a rum that will simply stay on the shelf year after year.

Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard (Elizabeth Yard Single Cask)

Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard is a molasses rum with a very clearly defined identity. Distilled in Fiji in 2004 and bottled in 2022, it spent 17 years maturing before being released by Elizabeth Yard as part of its single cask range. It comes from one hogshead and was bottled at cask strength, at 52.7% ABV.
The appeal here lies in the precision of the release. One cask, only 250 bottles, and now marked as last bottles. Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy limited bottlings with a clear sense of origin and maturation rather than a broad, blended style.
The rum was produced using pot still and column distillation, giving it an additional point of interest for anyone exploring Fiji rum in more detail. (…)Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses Incl. Box

Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses Incl. Box

Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses has a more assertive personality than a classic easy-going sipping rum. Bottled at 50.5%, it keeps the strength and density suggested by the Rare Proof name, while remaining clearly built for tasting rather than simply for impact.
The supplied information points to a 2009 distillation and a 2022 bottling, after at least 13 years of maturation. Ageing in American oak bourbon casks gives a natural context to the caramel and wood notes found in the tasting description. Made from molasses and distilled in a traditional column style, it reflects a Spanish-style rum approach where maturity, spice and roundness play an important role.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle in front of someone looking for a rum with (…)Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary

Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary is a Cuban molasses rum, distilled in 1992 and aged for thirty years. That long span of maturation sets the tone straight away: this is a mature rum shaped by time, with wood influence playing a clear role alongside a developed fruity side.
Its bourbon barrel maturation supports a style that feels more composed than exuberant. The profile points to noticeable wood and fruit, with lighter touches of spice and floral character in the background. Multicolumn distillation adds to the sense of a controlled, polished rum rather than a heavy or rustic one.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy older rum with a calm, grown-up presence. The 30th Anniversary name gives it a commemorative feel, but the (…)Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 Incl. Box

American oak gives it a gentle woody frame, but the charm of this bottle lies mainly in its rounded, aromatic style. The tasting notes move through vanilla, caramel, honey, ripe banana, cinnamon and coconut, creating a warm and polished impression rather than a heavy one.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who are interested in where a spirit comes from and how it is made.

Nine years of tropical ageing give the rum real depth, while bottling at 60% keeps the experience vivid and direct. Emb Blend 14y Continental is a Jamaican rum from Velier, bottled as Velier and Scheer. Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, it spent 14 years in a bourbon cask. Taken together, those details point to a rum with substance: mature, firm in style and shaped by a combination of distillate character and cask ageing.
It is bottled at cask strength, with an alcohol level of 64.8%. That strength gives the rum a serious presence and makes it a bottle to approach with time and attention. At Drankenshop Broekmans, Velier releases such as this are valued for the way they show rum in a more direct, less softened form.

Its appeal lies in the way the release captures one individual cask. Bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, this is a single cask rum at cask strength, with only 272 bottles drawn from the barrel. That makes it a focused snapshot of maturation, especially now that only the last bottles remain.

The Vercors whisky finish gives this New Grove its specific place within the range. Multicolumn distillation and a bottling strength of 46% suggest a rum made for unhurried tasting rather than casual mixing, with enough presence to let the cask influence speak.

Elizabeth Yard Sherry Cask is a blended rum with a deliberately layered make-up. It brings together high ester pot still rum from Ghana, aromatic sugarcane juice from Vietnam and single estate molasses from the Philippines. Rather than focusing on a single origin or one narrow style, it builds its character from contrast: tropical fruit, depth and a warm, energetic edge.
Sherry cask maturation adds a darker, richer tone to that foundation. The rum moves towards spice, ripe fruit and a creamy sense of weight, while staying away from a simple sweet profile. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that is worth taking time with, because the blend itself is part of the pleasure.
