Mhoba American Oak Aged
Only 3 left in stock!
Mhoba American Oak Aged is a South African rum made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. That gives it a different starting point from many molasses-based rums, with the raw character of cane sitting closer to the heart of the spirit.
The American oak ageing is given an extra dimension through a whisky finish. With no age statement, the focus falls less on a number and more on style: fruit and spice are the main threads, supported by gentle wood influence, a light floral touch and a subtle vegetal edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to place in front of customers who want to explore how varied the category can be when cane juice, pot still distillation and cask influence come together. As these are the last bottles, (…)Port Mourant 2011 10y (Elizabeth Yard With Finishes)

Port Mourant 2011 10y (Elizabeth Yard With Finishes)
In stock
Port Mourant 2011 10y from Elizabeth Yard is a molasses-based rum from Guyana, pot still distilled and bottled as a ten-year-old release. Its appeal lies in the directness of the bottling: one single cask, presented at cask strength, with its 53.03% ABV giving the rum a firm and unfiltered presence.
Matured in a bourbon barrel and limited to just 140 bottles, this is not a broad house style or a blended interpretation. It is a close look at one individual cask, selected and bottled with its own profile intact.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy limited, characterful releases with a clear origin and a clear structure. With only the last bottles remaining, it feels very much like a defined snapshot of (…)Saint James Brut De Colonne

Saint James Brut De Colonne

Saint James Brut De Colonne presents Martinique rum in a very direct form. It is an agricultural rum distilled in a Creole column and bottled brut, meaning it has not been reduced, retaining its full natural strength at 74.2% ABV.
That strength is central to the way this rum expresses itself. It carries the richness of Martinique's terroir with real intensity, while keeping a lively profile marked by fresh cane, fruit and spice.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Saint James we like to introduce to customers who want to experience a more powerful, unsoftened side of the distillery, while still finding clarity and freshness in the glass.

Hampden 2012 9y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)
On request only
Hampden 2012 9y is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label. Its appeal lies in its focused, small-batch nature: pot still distillation, maturation in a Bourbon Barrel, a single cask release and bottling at cask strength. At 60.8% ABV, this is a rum with real presence rather than a softened standard bottling.
Distilled in 2012 and bottled in September 2021, it spent 9 years maturing before being drawn from one individual cask. Only 257 bottles were released, so this is a narrow and clearly defined edition. With the final bottles now available, it has the kind of scarcity that naturally attracts attention among rum drinkers looking for something specific.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this Daily Dram are interesting (…)Mezan Jamaica 2007 (Mezan Vintages)

Mezan Jamaica 2007 is a Jamaican molasses rum from the Mezan Vintages range. What makes it stand out is its clear sense of time and origin: distilled in 2007, matured for 12 years and bottled at 46%.
Made in a pot still style and aged in bourbon casks, it has a well-defined frame rather than a vague, anonymous presentation. This is a rum built around a specific vintage and maturation period, with the Jamaican origin placed firmly at the centre.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Mezan sits nicely among rums for drinkers who enjoy releases with a more precise identity. With only the last bottles remaining, it has become a more limited find without losing sight of what matters most: the rum itself.

Plantation Panama 2008 (Planteray Vintage)

Plantation Panama 2008 is a molasses-based rum from Panama, bottled as part of the Planteray Vintage range. Its appeal lies in the vintage approach: distilled in 2008, aged for 13 years and bottled at 45.7%, it has a more defined presence than a straightforward everyday rum.
Traditional column distillation gives the rum its foundation, while the Cognac finish adds an extra layer to the maturation story. The character indicated here leans towards fruit and spice, with wood playing a supporting role rather than dominating the glass.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy rum with a clear origin, vintage and ageing identity. With only the last bottles remaining, it is also a release that is gradually disappearing from the (…)Jamaica 2014 Dd The Nectar (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

Jamaica 2014 DD The Nectar is a Jamaican molasses rum, pot still distilled and bottled at 44%. What makes it stand apart is the focused nature of the release: a single cask selection with a clear timeline, distilled in January 2014 and bottled in November 2021.
The Madeira finish adds an extra cask dimension, while the profile remains driven more by spice and fruit than by sweetness. Light wood influence, floral touches and a subtle vegetal edge sit in the background, giving the rum a more defined and less conventional shape.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are appreciated for the way they show a specific cask rather than a broad house style. With this being a single cask and now down to the last bottles, it is a particularly focused Jamaican (…)Mezan Jamaica 2011 (Mezan Vintages)

Mezan Jamaica 2011 is a Jamaican molasses rum from the Mezan Vintages range, distilled in 2011 and bottled at 46%. Its identity is built around a few clear elements: Jamaica, pot still distillation and maturation in a bourbon barrel.
Rather than presenting a broad house style, this bottling gives a more focused vintage expression. The pot still origin brings personality, while the bourbon barrel influence remains part of the frame rather than the whole picture.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Mezan sits well among rums chosen for drinkers who enjoy a defined sense of origin and a profile shaped by fruit and spice, with wood in a supporting role. With only the last bottles remaining, it is also a release that is becoming harder to revisit.

Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 is a Guadeloupe rum with a very clear sense of origin. Part of the Habitation Velier range, it comes from a collaboration with the Papa Rouyo distillery, a microdistillery connected to the legacy of Charles Albert Ruscade, known as Papa Rouyo. His great-grandson and two master cane growers continue that story through a rum made from pure sugar cane juice.
The cane comes from two varieties, Canne Matos and Canne Rouge, grown on a 4-hectare plot. That gives this release a particularly focused identity: it is not just a rum from Guadeloupe, but a defined expression of cane, parcel and distillation. Distilled in 2022, it spent 1 year maturing in new French oak and cognac casks.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, it is the kind of bottle we like to introduce when someone wants to explore Martinique rum through a recognisable XO from Saint James.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we place in front of curious drinkers who enjoy cane-juice character and a bottling that has not been softened into a generic style. Only 150 bottles were drawn, giving this Fiji rum a very specific identity. It was distilled in 2017 from molasses, after a week-long fermentation, using a copper pot still.
The maturation adds much of the story here. Dillon VSOP is a rum from Martinique made from sugar cane juice, distilled in a traditional column style and bottled at 43%. The VSOP designation comes from the world of cognac, and for this rhum it points to a minimum of four years of maturation in oak casks.
