Wp Forsyths 151 Proof Habve L (Habitation Velier)
On request only
WP Forsyths 151 Proof by Velier is a molasses-based Jamaican rum with a very direct personality. Pot still distilled, bottled without an age statement and presented at 75.5%, it places the distillate itself firmly in the foreground. The 151 Proof indication is not just a number here; it shapes the whole presence of the rum.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Velier stands out as a powerful Jamaican bottling where wood influence and sweetness are not the main story. The available profile points towards floral, spicy and vegetal tones, with fruit playing a more supporting role. That gives the rum a clear, spirit-driven identity rather than a rounded or oak-led one.

Jamaica Cane Juice (1423 Single Barrel Selection - Origins)

Jamaica Cane Juice from the SBS Origins range by 1423 Rum World Class presents rum in a very direct form: unaged, powerful and close to the raw identity of the distillate. The series is built around hand-selected white rums chosen for their bold profile, from names also known through the matured 1423 Single Barrel Selection releases.
This Jamaican bottling is distilled in traditional pot stills and bottled at 57%. That strength gives it real presence, while the absence of maturation keeps the focus firmly on the spirit itself. Vegetal, grassy and spicy elements shape the character, with fruit adding a fresh counterpoint.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that shows how much personality an unaged white rum can carry. It can be enjoyed (…)El Amparo

El Amparo

El Amparo is an Ecuadorian rum made from sugar cane juice, built around the Cubana Negra cane variety. The cane is grown and harvested according to traditional practices carried through three generations, giving this rum a strong sense of agricultural origin rather than a polished, anonymous style.
Fermentation begins naturally with indigenous yeasts in vats of 1000 to 3000 litres and lasts 5 to 7 days, depending on the sugar concentration of the must at harvest. Distillation takes place in a single run through a 500-litre copper pot still. The spirit leaves the still at around 60%, and this first batch of El Amparo was bottled at that still strength.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum with real immediacy. It is not driven by sweetness or wood, (…)Hampden 8 Marks 8*20cl

Hampden 8 Marks 8*20cl is best seen as a discovery set rather than a single-bottle rum. It brings together eight different marks from Hampden Estate in Jamaica, each in a 20 cl format, giving the drinker a way to explore several sides of the same estate in one giftpack.
The foundation is firmly set: molasses rum, pot still distillation and bottling at 60%. That strength underlines its cask strength presentation and gives the set a direct, uncompromising feel. There is no age statement driving the story here; the focus is on comparison, intensity and the differences between the marks.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Hampden set sits comfortably among rums chosen for people who like to taste with attention, share a structured tasting, or give a rum gift with (…)Savanna Grand Arome 50cl (Old Brothers)

Planteray Hogo Monsta 20cl is a Barbados rum built around aromatic impact. Made from molasses, fermented for two weeks and fully distilled in a pot still at Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery, it puts the focus firmly on concentration and expression.
The key detail here is its very high ester content: 2029 g/hL AA. That is what gives meaning to the name Hogo Monsta, a direct nod to the intense, funky hogo style that defines this release.
Bottled at 56.6% ABV as a cask strength rum, it has a forceful presence without needing to lean on sweetness or wood-driven notes. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a rum with real pot still intensity and a bold aromatic signature.

A1710 La Perle Rare Roseau is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice, with the spotlight placed firmly on one specific cane variety: B59-92, known as Roseau. The cuvée comes from A1710's second organic planting in François, where this cane produces notably aromatic juice.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum that speaks through its raw material rather than through oak influence. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 54.1%, giving the fresh cane character plenty of presence. Traditional column distillation keeps the style clear, aromatic and expressive, with floral, vegetal, fruity and gently spiced accents.
