Mhoba Strand 101
In stock
Mhoba Strand 101 is a South African rum made from sugar cane juice, produced in a pot still style and bottled at 50.5%. It has a direct, expressive presence, with enough strength to let the raw material and production style come through clearly.
Oak cask influence gives the rum a firm backbone. The flavour profile points to a clearly woody side, supported by lighter touches of spice, fruit, sweetness, floral nuance and a vegetal edge. That makes Strand 101 feel layered without becoming overly polished.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Mhoba bottling stands out for customers looking beyond the more familiar rum styles and towards South African sugar cane juice rum with real character. With only the last bottles remaining, it also has a quietly scarce feel.

Emb Blend 14y Coffret 2x70cl is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled by Velier as part of the Velier and Scheer bottling. Its identity is built around a few strong elements: Jamaica, pot still distillation, 14 years of ageing and a cask strength bottling at 67.25%. That gives it a firmly defined place among powerful, mature rums.
The bourbon cask maturation brings a clear woody dimension, supported by lighter notes of spice, fruit, sweetness, vegetal character and a subtle floral touch. Rather than a soft, easy-going style, this is a rum where strength and maturation are central to the experience.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this coffret stands out because of its 2 x 70 cl presentation and the fact that only the last bottles remain. It is the kind of release that (…)Saint James 18y Incl. Box

The bourbon cask maturation gives the wood influence a clear role, while the name places the rum firmly in a continental ageing context.

Elizabeth Yard Trinidad 10y Ao is a molasses rum from Trinidad, distilled in 2011 in a traditional column style. It spent 10 years maturing, with American oak playing an important role in its ageing and refinement.
Its appeal lies in the small-scale nature of the release. This is a single cask rum, bottled at cask strength at 50.05%, with only 98 bottles produced. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures the character of one individual cask.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for those who enjoy focused, limited bottlings where origin, wood influence and natural strength all remain clearly visible. The fact that only the last bottles remain adds to the sense of a release with a very narrow availability.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone who wants to explore a cane juice rum with some ageing, but without moving into a heavily mature style.
