Dictador 1977 40y Nectar

On request only

Dictador 1977 40y Nectar is a Colombian rum built around time, cask and scarcity. Distilled in 1977 and bottled on 20 January 2017, it carries a 40 year age statement that gives the release a very specific identity: one vintage, one long maturation, one defined moment of bottling.

Drawn from a single bourbon cask and limited to 300 bottles, it sits at Drankenshop Broekmans among the rums where the story is shaped by more than brand or category alone. The use of pot still and column distillation adds another point of interest, while the single cask format keeps the focus on one individual parcel of rum.

At 43% alcohol, Dictador 1977 40y Nectar is not presented through sheer strength, but through maturity and cask influence. The flavour profile points towards (…)

Goslings Papa Seal

Only 3 left in stock!

Goslings Papa Seal is a Bermuda rum with a mature, cask-led identity. Made from molasses and distilled in a traditional column style, it brings together 15 years of age and a measured strength of 41.5%, giving the rum room to show its developed side.

The most distinctive point here is the single cask origin. Drawn from one bourbon barrel, it represents a more specific expression rather than a broad house blend. The profile places wood, spice and fruit at the centre, with sweetness playing a more supporting role.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we value for its focused character and limited nature. With only the last bottles remaining, Goslings Papa Seal feels less like an everyday pour and more like a particular cask selection worth taking a (…)

Dictador 20y

In stock

Dictador 20y is a Colombian rum carrying a twenty-year age statement and made using the solera system. That gives it a different perspective from a single-vintage release: the emphasis is on continuity, layered maturation and the house style Dictador wants to express in this 20-year-old bottling.

Its use of pot still and column distillation is part of what shapes the rum's identity. Rather than focusing on one narrow aspect, the profile brings together clear wood influence, spice and fruit, while sweetness remains more of a supporting element.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of mature Colombian rum we place in front of customers looking for depth without an overly sweet impression. The 40% strength keeps it approachable, while the age statement and (…)

Dictador 2 Masters 1972 45y (Glenfarclas)

Very last one in stock!

Dictador 2 Masters 1972 45y (Glenfarclas) is a Colombian rum with time at the centre of its identity. Distilled in 1972 and bottled on 13 August 2018, it carries a 45-year age statement, giving the bottle a very specific sense of origin and maturity.

The Glenfarclas name and the whisky finish add another point of interest to this Dictador release. Drawn from a single cask and bottled at 45% alcohol, it was released in an edition of 378 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we highlight for its combination of long ageing, Colombian character, whisky cask influence and genuine scarcity.

The flavour profile points towards clear wood, spice and fruit, with sweetness playing a more restrained supporting role. Rather than a broadly rounded (…)

Malecon 1979 Esplendida 4,5l

Last one in stock!

Malecon 1979 Esplendida 4.5l is a Cuban rum with an immediate sense of presence, partly because of its 1979 vintage reference and partly because of the generous bottle size. It is made from molasses, distilled in a traditional column style and bottled at 40% alcohol.

The bourbon cask element gives this release a wood-driven side, while the supplied flavour profile also points clearly towards spice and fruit. Its sweetness is more restrained, so the impression is not built around sugariness alone.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that stands apart from the everyday shelf: Cuban in origin, vintage-led in identity and presented in a 4.5 litre format that makes it particularly striking to serve or share.

The flavour profile (…)

Malecon 1976 Esplendida 4,5l

Last one in stock!

Malecon 1976 Esplendida 4.5l is a Cuban molasses rum with 1976 stated as its distillation date. That immediately gives the bottle a different kind of presence: this is not presented as an everyday rum, but as a release where origin, vintage and format all matter.

It is made in a traditional column style and linked to bourbon cask maturation. The supplied profile points towards a rum where wood, spice and fruit all have a clear role, while sweetness stays more in support than in the foreground.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, the 4.5 litre format makes this Malecon stand out on sight, but the interest is not only visual. It remains, first and foremost, a Cuban vintage rum with a cask-influenced profile and a measured strength of 40%.

Dictador 2 Masters 1980 37y Despagne's Red Wine Bordeaux Cask

On request only

Dictador 2 Masters 1980 37y Despagne's Red Wine Bordeaux Cask is a Colombian rum built around patience, cask identity and a clear Bordeaux connection. Distilled in 1980 and bottled on 13 August 2018, it carries 37 years of maturation before being presented at 45% alcohol.

What makes this release especially interesting is its single cask nature and its Bordeaux finish in a red wine cask from Despagne. That finishing detail gives the rum a distinctive frame: the profile points towards wood, spice and fruit as the main elements, with sweetness playing a quieter supporting role.

Only 381 bottles were filled, and the indication of last bottles gives this Dictador a particular relevance within the Drankenshop Broekmans selection. The combination of pot still and (…)

Panama 2007 16y Varela is a molasses-based rum from Panama, matured for 16 years in a Bourbon Barrel at the Varela distillery. Bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, it is the kind of rum that fits naturally into the Drankenshop Broekmans selection: clearly defined, limited, and made for drinkers who enjoy a more direct single-cask experience.

Distilled in 2007 using a traditional column style and bottled in 2023 at 60.7%, it shows its strength without trying to hide it. The cask-strength presentation gives the rum a concentrated feel, while the flavour profile points toward wood, spice and fruit, with sweetness playing a supporting role rather than taking over.

Venezuela 2006 16y (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

Only 2 left in stock!

Venezuela 2006 16y from 1423 Rum World Class is built around a very specific idea: one cask, one vintage and a small release. Distilled in Venezuela in 2006 from molasses using a traditional column style, it was bottled in May 2022 after 16 years of maturation.

Its character is shaped by a few strong choices. This is a single cask rum bottled at cask strength, with an alcoholic strength of 50%, so it keeps a more direct link to the individual cask than a broader standard release. The Port Finish adds another layer to the maturation story, giving the cask influence a central role in how the rum presents itself.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that draws attention from customers who enjoy rum with a defined origin and limited (…)

Admiral Rodney Formidable

On request only

Admiral Rodney Formidable is a molasses rum from St. Lucia that puts its emphasis on style rather than an age statement. This multivintage release brings together different vintages, distilled in a Coffey Still and matured in American oak. The result is a rum shaped by cask influence, spice and fruit rather than by sweetness alone.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for customers who enjoy rum with a little more structure and definition. There is a gentle sweet note in the background, but the main impression is built around wood, spice and fruity depth. At 40% alcohol, it remains approachable while still offering enough character to spend time with.

Malecon 1987 Esplendida Incl. Box

In stock

Malecon 1987 Esplendida is a Cuban molasses rum, distilled in 1987 using traditional column distillation. The vintage gives the bottle a clear point of reference: this is a rum shaped around a specific distillation year, with its identity tied closely to time, origin and maturation.

The bourbon cask element sits naturally alongside the stated flavour profile. Wood, spice and fruit are the main themes, while sweetness plays a more restrained supporting role. That gives Malecon 1987 Esplendida a mature, cask-influenced feel rather than a style built simply around sugar and softness.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum to introduce to customers who enjoy the more composed, traditionally presented side of the category. With its Cuban origin, (…)

Botran Sistema 18 Solera Anejo Solera 1893

Temporarily sold out
Expected: 01/11/2026

Botran Sistema 18 Solera Anejo Solera 1893 is a Guatemalan rum built around sugar cane honey and shaped through a solera system. That combination gives it a clear sense of style: mature in tone, with the emphasis placed more on wood, spice and fruit than on overt sweetness.

Its multicolumn distilling style and 40% alcohol strength keep the presentation recognisable, while the name Sistema 18 Solera Anejo Solera 1893 gives this Botran a more composed, carefully framed identity. The sweetness is there, but it plays a supporting role behind the drier, warmer elements.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would point out to customers looking beyond the most obvious rum origins and wanting to explore Guatemala through a profile centred on cask (…)

Venezuela 2005 15y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Only 3 left in stock!

Venezuela 2005 15y from Daily Dram is the kind of rum where the details point to a very focused release: Venezuelan origin, molasses-based production, one bourbon barrel and bottling at full cask strength. Distilled in 2005 and bottled in May 2021, it presents a 15-year-old rum with a direct, mature character.

The bottling was selected by The Nectar for the Daily Dram range and drawn from a single cask that yielded just 243 bottles. That limited outturn gives this rum a sense of specificity rather than broad commercial uniformity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value releases like this because they show how individual a single cask rum can be.

At 61.7% alcohol, this is a powerful cask strength bottling. The traditional column distillation and bourbon barrel (…)

Takamaka Le Clos Pineau 50cl

On request only

Takamaka Le Clos Pineau is a sugar cane juice rum from the Seychelles, pot still distilled and bottled at 54.8%. The Le Clos series is built around craftsmanship and cask influence, and this release takes its direction from a Pineau de Charente finish, adding a clear layer of wood, spice and fruit to its tropical foundation.

Rather than leaning on an age statement, this rum speaks through style and cask choice. The character suggested here is expressive and layered, with the Seychelles origin bringing the tropical side while the finishing cask adds depth and a more vinous accent. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we appreciate releases like this because they show how versatile sugar cane juice rum can become when the cask treatment is given a central role.

Takamaka Le Clos Palo 50cl

On request only

Takamaka Le Clos Palo 50cl is a Seychelles rum with a clear sense of place and structure. Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still, it carries its 56.2% strength with purpose, giving the rum a full and expressive presence rather than a light, casual style.

The cask story is the heart of this release. Maturation in new French oak, old Palo Cortado casks and a Scotch whisky cask brings a layered wood and spice influence, while the tropical origin still comes through in the fruitier side of the rum.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to point out to customers who enjoy rum with a distinctive maturation path. The Le Clos series shows a refined approach here: tropical in origin, shaped by carefully selected casks, and now (…)

Patridom XO Islay Cask Tube Incl.

In stock

Patridom XO Islay Cask gives Dominican rum a slightly unexpected turn. At its core, it remains very much part of the Patridom range: rum from the Dominican Republic, made from locally grown sugar cane, distilled in a multi-column still and matured in the country's tropical climate.

Its distinctive voice comes from the second maturation. For this limited edition, the rum was given an extra finish in selected casks in the continental climate of warehouse 1423 in Denmark. The Islay Finish brings a smoky edge to a rum that also carries fruit, spice and a measured wood influence.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present to customers who are curious about what a cask finish can add to rum. With the last bottles now in view, it has (…)

Dominican Republic 2013 10y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

In stock

Dominican Republic 2013 10y is a sugar cane juice rum with a clearly defined origin and maturation story. Distilled at AFD in the Dominican Republic, it was selected by The Nectar for the Daily Dram range after 10 years of ageing in bourbon casks and a final Virgin Oak finish.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for the way they show a specific cask rather than a broad house style. This is a single cask rum, bottled at cask strength, with only 341 bottles produced. That gives it a focused, small-batch character and a sense of directness in the glass.

Its appeal lies in the interplay between fruit, spice and noticeable oak. The Virgin Oak finish brings extra structure, while the rum remains tied to its cane juice origin and Dominican (…)

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see bottles like this as a good fit for customers who want a rum with a defined origin and a meaningful age indication, without needing an overly technical presentation. At 40% alcohol, it sits in a classic and familiar drinking strength.

As these are the last bottles, On Deck Rum 15y also carries a certain sense of timing. It is the kind of bottle to consider when you are looking for an aged rum from Panama and want something a little less commonplace in the selection.

Planteray Mauritius 2013 (Planteray Vintage)

On request only

Planteray Mauritius 2013 is built around a two-stage maturation. Distilled from molasses in Mauritius, it first spends 9 years in bourbon casks in Flic & Flac, before moving to Cognac Ferrand casks in Javrezac, France, for a further 2 years.

That journey gives this Planteray Vintage rum its main point of interest: Mauritian rum shaped further by a cognac cask finish. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to introduce to customers who enjoy seeing how place, time and cask choice can shape the final character of a rum.

At 11 years old and bottled at 46.5%, it has enough presence to carry its fruit, spice and wood influence clearly. With only the last bottles remaining, Mauritius 2013 is also becoming a less common chance to explore (…)
