Caroni 1996 25y Ricky (Caroni Employees)

Caroni 1996 25y Ricky is a Trinidad rum with a very clear sense of presence. Distilled in 1996, aged for 25 years and bottled at a cask strength of 66.2%, it is the kind of rum that speaks in a firm, uncompromising voice.
The bourbon barrel maturation and traditional column distillation give this release its structure, while the production of just 630 bottles adds a real sense of rarity. With only the last bottles remaining, it holds a distinctive place in the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, especially for those looking for a notable Caroni bottling rather than a standard everyday pour.
Its profile is led by pronounced spice, with fruit and vegetal notes also playing an important role. Oak is present, but more as support than as the main theme. (…)Hampden Great House 2023

Hampden Great House 2023
On request only
Hampden Great House 2023 is a Jamaican rum with a strong sense of place behind it. This fifth edition in the exclusive Great House series pays tribute to Hampden Estate's historic Great House, built in 1779 by the Stirling family and still standing in its original form. Until the 20th century, the first floor was used to store rum casks before they were sent on to the harbour.
Today, the Great House serves as the distillery's reception and representation house. The rum carrying its name follows that same connection between heritage and present-day interpretation. It is made from a blend of different marks, with a recipe that changes from year to year, so the 2023 edition offers its own view of the Hampden style rather than a fixed repeat of a previous release.

Jamaica 1982 33y Bos from Berry's Own Selection is a Jamaican molasses rum with a very specific story behind it. Distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2016, it spent 33 years maturing before Berry Bros released it as part of the Berry's Exceptional casks range.
Rather than being a broad house style, this is the voice of one bourbon cask. It was bottled at cask strength, 57%, with just 225 bottles produced. That combination of age, single cask origin and limited outturn is exactly why a rum like this stands out in the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans.
There is also a natural sense of scarcity here: the bottle is marked as a collector's item and only the last bottles remain. For anyone drawn to older Jamaican pot still rum, this is a focused and finite release (…)Villa Paradisetto Privateer 2017 (For Velier)

Villa Paradisetto Privateer 2017 (For Velier)

Villa Paradisetto Privateer 2017 is a molasses rum with a clear, assertive presentation. Bottled at cask strength at 54.2%, it keeps its power intact rather than moving toward a softened style. Distilled in 2017 and aged for three years in American Oak, it has the feel of a compact but expressive release.
The use of pot still and column distillation gives the rum an interesting balance between weight and definition. Its profile points most clearly toward fruit and spice, with oak and a light vegetal note sitting more quietly in the background. It is not built around sweetness; the emphasis is on energy, structure and flavour impact.

Hampden 8 Years is a Jamaican rum from Hampden Estate, made from molasses and distilled in pot stills. It has a clearly defined personality: fruit and spice are the main threads, with a style that feels more expressive than softly sweet.
Eight years of ageing in bourbon barrels adds a measured wood influence, supporting the rum rather than taking it over. At 46% alcohol, it has enough strength to carry its character with confidence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Hampden 8 Years is the kind of rum we like to introduce to customers looking for a Jamaican bottle with real presence. The combination of pot still distillation, Jamaican origin and stated age gives it a direct, characterful appeal.

Caroni Paradise 1996 #4 is a Trinidad rum where the main story is time, strength and scarcity. Bottled by Velier, it was distilled from molasses in 1996 and bottled in 2023 after 27 years of ageing. Rather than coming from a broad batch, it was drawn from a single bourbon barrel, giving this release a very specific cask identity.
Only 215 bottles were produced, and it was bottled at cask strength at 68.1% ABV. That makes it a rum with real presence, aimed at drinkers who appreciate the individuality of a single cask and the directness of a high-strength bottling. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this stand out because they bring together provenance, age and limited availability in a very tangible way.

The interest here lies in the combination of origin, production style and limited availability. Only 859 bottles were released, and these are now among the last bottles available. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who want something with a more distinctive Jamaican identity and less emphasis on sweetness.

Ricci Voltface N°2 from Famille Ricci is a molasses rum built around a meeting of Jamaica and Barbados. The blend is made up of 35% Jamaican rum and 65% Barbadian rum, giving the bottling a character shaped by contrast rather than by a single origin.
Distillation takes place in both column stills and Pot Stills, and the rum is made without additives. Its maturation in ex-Pineau des Charentes Blanc casks and new chestnut casks gives Voltface N°2 a distinctive frame, with spice, fruit and gentle wood influence forming the main thread. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy strength with real flavour definition.

The combination of bourbon barrel influence and French oak gives this release a more developed, contemplative style. The wood is present without taking over, leaving room for spice, fruit and the deeper tones that come with mature rum.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy the more refined side of Martinique: layered, mature and shaped by time. Its story is carried by chocolate, leather, roasted flavours and candied fruit rather than by sweetness or sheer intensity.

OWH is described as the lowest-ester mark among Hampden rums, so this bottling shows a particular side of the Trelawny distillery. It is still firmly Jamaican in personality, but the emphasis moves through fruit, spice, vegetal tones and empyreumatic notes rather than sheer ester impact alone.

Hampden 2019 LROK is a Jamaican molasses rum with a very clear identity. LROK stands for Light Rum Owen Kelly, and in this case refers to an ester level of 200 to 400 g/hL: aromatic and expressive, yet still measured within the unmistakable Hampden style.
Distilled in 2019 on a pot still, it spent 5 years maturing in a sherry butt. That maturation adds depth and maturity while keeping Hampden's typical empyreumatic side firmly present. The producer's information even draws a comparison with the complexity of certain Scotch single malts, which gives a good sense of the direction here: powerful rum with structure, not just raw intensity.
