Mezan Diamond Guyana 2003 (Mezan Vintages)
In stock
Mezan Diamond Guyana 2003 is a molasses-based rum from Guyana, bottled as part of the Mezan Vintages range. The name already gives it a clear identity: Diamond, Guyana and the 2003 distillation year place this release in a more precise, origin-led style of rum.
The production details add to that sense of definition. It combines pot still and column distillation, so the rum is not built around one single distilling approach. Maturation in bourbon barrels supports the more woody and spiced side of the profile, while the data points to only a lighter fruity and vegetal presence rather than an overtly sweet expression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this have a natural appeal for customers who enjoy vintage rum with a clear origin and a more mature, (…)Black Tot Master Blenders Reserve 2023

Black Tot Master Blenders Reserve 2023

Black Tot Master Blenders Reserve 2023 looks back to a lost blending tradition: the perpetual rum blend of the British Navy, maintained from the early 1800s until Black Tot Day in 1970. Black Tot revived that idea in 2020 with the first Master Blender's Reserve, and the 2023 edition was created to sit closer to the original Navy rum style.
For this release, Master Blender Oliver Chilton added his own touch with rum from Grenada, distilled in 1993. That element was selected to bring depth and to underline the rich orange notes in the blend. Bottled at 54.5% cask strength, it combines pot still and column rum, giving a firm, spicy and wood-influenced profile with a measured fruit presence.

Rivière Du Mat Royal Reserve is a rum from Île de Réunion built around sugar cane juice. That gives it a different starting point from rums centred mainly on molasses, with the cane itself playing a more direct role and traditional column distillation shaping the spirit.
Bourbon cask maturation adds a clear layer of wood and spice. Around that core, the profile shows lighter floral, fruity and vegetal touches, while sweetness is not the main theme. The result is a rum that feels more structured than overtly sweet.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone looking for a sugar cane juice rum with cask influence and a firm, composed style.

Saint James Ephemeres N°6 is a rum from Martinique made from sugar cane juice, distilled in a traditional column and bottled at cask strength. At 54.4%, it keeps a firm and direct expression, staying close to the influence of the cask rather than being softened into a gentler style.
It was distilled on 12 December 2006 and aged for 15 years in American oak. That maturation places wood and spice at the centre of the rum's personality, with lighter floral, fruity and vegetal touches giving a reminder of its sugar cane juice origin.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in front of customers looking for a mature agricole-style rum with power, age and a clear oak signature. With 4,910 bottles released and only the last bottles (…)Clement 2002

Hampden Dok 2020 2y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)
On request only
Hampden Dok 2020 2y is a Jamaican molasses rum with a clearly independent-bottler identity. Released by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, it was distilled in 2020 and bottled in September 2022 at 2 years of age.
The appeal here lies in its compact but forceful setup: pot still distillation, a single cask, cask strength bottling at 65.6%, and an Islay finish. Rather than leaning on sweetness, this rum is shaped by wood, spice and fruit, with the Islay cask adding an unusual angle to the maturation.
Only 228 bottles were produced, and with the last bottles now in circulation, this Hampden has a particularly distinctive place at Drankenshop Broekmans for drinkers who enjoy small-batch Jamaican rum with intensity and a less conventional cask influence.

Ricci Influences N°1 from Famille Ricci is a molasses-based rum built from two origins: 70% Trinidad and 30% Jamaica. It brings together pot still and column distillation, giving the rum a layered feel rather than a single, straightforward direction.
The maturation story is a major part of its identity. Bourbon casks, new oak, Pineau casks and heated mini-casks all play a role, drawing the rum towards wood, spice and toasted notes. Bottled at 46% and made without additives, it keeps a clear sense of structure while retaining a smooth, approachable texture.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Ricci Influences N°1 as a rum for drinkers who enjoy a more cask-driven style without moving into heavy sweetness. Its name is well chosen: this is a rum shaped by (…)Vieux Casimir 2016 10y (La Maison & Velier) Incl. Box

Vieux Casimir 2016 10y (La Maison & Velier) Incl. Box

Vieux Casimir 2016 10y is a Haitian rum from Velier, made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. That already points toward a more direct, distillate-driven style rather than a rum built around easy sweetness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out because of its combination of origin, strength and maturation detail. The Caroni Finish gives the ageing an extra point of interest, while the core remains clear: a ten-year-old Haitian rum bottled at a serious 55.9% ABV.
The supplied profile places wood, spice and vegetal notes at the centre, with fruit playing a quieter role. Vieux Casimir 2016 10y is therefore best understood as a firm, characterful rum with structure and presence, made for drinkers who enjoy a more outspoken cane-juice (…)Guyana 1990 30y Port Mourant (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

Guyana 1990 30y Port Mourant is a rum with time at the centre of its identity. Distilled in 1990 and bottled in February 2021, it brings together thirty years of maturation in one single cask. Rather than presenting a broad blended style, it captures one particular cask of Guyanese molasses rum.
Pot still distillation, bourbon cask maturation and bottling at 53.1% cask strength give this release a naturally firm presence. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that stands out through restraint in presentation and depth in detail: origin, age, cask and strength all matter here.
Only 192 bottles were filled, and the remaining bottles now make this release increasingly scarce. The Port Mourant name, the 30-year age statement and the single cask format (…)Guyana 2003 17y Ddl (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

Guyana 2003 17y Ddl from 1423 Rum World Class is a molasses-based rum with a very direct sense of place and cask. It was distilled in 2003 in pot still style, aged for 17 years, and bottled in February 2020 at cask strength. At 59.7%, it keeps its full, undiluted presence.
The Bourbon Barrel maturation brings a clear woody side, but the profile is not built on wood alone. Spice and fruit are just as clearly present, with a lighter vegetal note in the background. It gives the rum a firm, expressive structure rather than a sweet-driven style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this stand out because they capture one specific cask rather than a repeated house blend. Only 258 bottles were drawn from this single cask, and these are the last bottles. For (…)Clarendon 2004 16y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

Clarendon 2004 16y is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled by Watt Whisky, part of the Campbeltown Whisky Company. Its appeal lies in the way it has been presented: a single bourbon barrel, bottled at cask strength, with a total outturn of only 270 bottles.
Distilled in 2004 and bottled in June 2021, it spent 16 years maturing before release. The multicolumn distillation points to a defined Jamaican rum style, while the single cask approach keeps the focus on one individual barrel rather than a broader blend.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we place in front of customers who enjoy independent bottlings with a clear origin and a limited release character. Clairin Vieux Sajous 5y presents Haitian clairin in a more mature register, while staying close to its sugar cane juice origin. Bottled by Velier, it is linked to Michel Sajous and the Chelo distillery, with five years of ageing in Haiti's tropical climate shaping the spirit.
This second edition of Vieux Sajous follows the first cuvée released in 2020. It is a blend of 14 casks that previously held notable rums, whiskies and cognacs. That cask history brings wood, spice and depth into the picture, yet the identity of Clairin remains central rather than being covered by maturation.
