Dow's Vintage 2003 Library is a red Vintage Port from Portugal's Upper Douro Valley, a region closely tied to the Dow name for more than two centuries. Since 1912, five generations of Symington winemakers have worked the vineyards of Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, two estates that sit at the heart of this release.
The Library edition is especially interesting because of its time before release. After 19 years of bottle ageing in the cellars of Dow's Lodge, the Symington family launched this 2003 Vintage Port as a limited edition, drawn directly from their own cellars. It has gained further complexity with age and is described as very enjoyable to drink now, while still retaining considerable ageing potential.

Miyagikyo Single Malt + 2 Glasses shows a refined side of Japanese single malt whisky. It comes from the Miyagi prefecture, from a valley where the Hirosegawa and Nikkagawa rivers meet. According to the supplied information, Masataka Taketsuru himself regarded this location as an ideal place for making single malt, thanks to its pure water, suitable humidity and fresh air.
Miyagikyo is associated here with a lighter, cleaner spirit, helped by upward lyne arms on the stills. That gives this whisky an elegant and fruity style, supported by maturation in sherry and bourbon casks. It is not built around weight or heaviness; its interest lies more in clarity, aroma and poise.
