English Whisky 2009 12y Ww is a British single malt with a very clear sense of origin: distilled in 2009, bottled in 2022 and matured for twelve years in a single bourbon barrel. As a single cask release, it is less about a broad house recipe and more about one individual cask captured at bottling strength.

Only 228 bottles were drawn, and with the last bottles now indicated, this release has become a sharply limited snapshot of English single malt whisky. The 57.1% cask strength keeps the presentation direct and forceful.
Its profile points toward spice and peat as the main drivers, with lighter fruity, floral and salty touches around them. (…)The English Whisky Company 12y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)

The English Whisky Company 12y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)
On request only
The English Whisky Company 12y is a fine example of how compelling single malt from Great Britain can be when given time to mature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for the combination of an English single malt identity, independent bottling and a mature age statement. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its profile, with spice as the clearest element and lighter traces of wood, fruit, floral notes, saltiness and gentle peat in support.
With the last bottles now in our selection, it is the kind of whisky that rewards a curious drinker looking beyond the most (…)
