Pl4 Elements of Islay is a Port Charlotte single malt from the Limited Edition range by Elements of Islay. The series uses periodic-table-style symbols to identify individual Islay distilleries, followed by a batch number; in this case, Pl stands for Port Charlotte, within Bruichladdich. That gives the bottle a clear identity from the start: a focused Islay release rather than a broad house-style bottling.
These Elements of Islay editions are bottled either as single casks or as small batches drawn from a limited selection of casks, always with the individual distillery character in mind. Pl4 is bottled at cask strength, reaching 61.2%, and carries no age statement.
