Paranubes Añejo Tequila is a distinctive Mexican rum made from pure cane juice. It starts from Paranubes Blanco, then matures for 18 months in Rio Tuerto, Oaxaca, where the tropical climate gives the cask influence a clear voice.
The ageing takes place in American oak ex-tequila casks from Cascahuin, adding a deeper layer to the naturally earthy, sweet and saline style of Paranubes. At 54.9% ABV, it has real presence, yet the identity of the cane juice remains central rather than being pushed aside by the wood.
