Kavalan Distillery Select is a Taiwanese single malt introduced in 2018 as part of Kavalan's core range. It reflects the hand of Master Blender Ian Chang in a style that is pure, creamy and immediately approachable.
Rather than leaning on smoke or heavy oak, this whisky puts ripe tropical fruit, warm vanilla and an elegant softness at the centre. The refill cask influence supports the spirit without taking over, keeping the overall impression open, smooth and fruit-led.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a very natural introduction to Kavalan, while still offering enough polish for single malt drinkers who enjoy a creamy, easy-drinking whisky with a clearly fruity character.

Kavalan is the first reference ever released by the distillery, so it serves as a direct introduction to the house style of this Taiwanese single malt. Rather than building its identity around an age statement, it presents Kavalan through aroma, fruit and a distinctly exotic tone.
The setting behind the whisky matters here. The distillery points to the fresh air of north-eastern Taiwan and the pure water from the Hsuehshan mountains as key influences on its character. That comes through in a whisky where fruit, perfume and gentle spice are more central than smoke or heaviness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a clear starting point for anyone wanting to understand Kavalan: approachable in strength, expressive in aroma and unmistakably shaped by its (…)Kavalan 15y Four Cask Matured Incl. Box

Kavalan 15y Four Cask Matured is a milestone release from Taiwan's Kavalan distillery: a 15 year old single malt shaped by four different cask types. Ex-bourbon casks bring softness and vanilla tones, oloroso sherry casks add depth and richness, ruby port casks contribute a rounded fruit character, while puncheons add aromatic complexity.
The Taiwanese subtropical climate is an important part of the story. Maturation develops more quickly there, giving this whisky a concentrated and expressive style. Bottled at 43%, it presents that richness in a composed way, with fruit, gentle spice and sweetness forming the central thread.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Kavalan for drinkers who enjoy cask-driven nuance without losing clarity in the glass. With (…)Kavalan 2010 10y Artist (La Maison Du Whisky - Artist Collection)

Kavalan 2010 10y Artist (La Maison Du Whisky - Artist Collection)
Very last one in stock!
Kavalan 2010 10y Artist is a Taiwanese single malt drawn from a single cask, distilled on 28 April 2010 and bottled in 2020 at 10 years of age. With only 179 bottles released, this Artist Collection bottling by La Maison du Whisky is very much about a particular cask rather than a regular house style.
The port maturation places fruit at the centre of the whisky's identity, with wood and spice giving it structure. Bottled at cask strength at 57.8%, it keeps the intensity of the cask intact, making it a more direct and concentrated presentation of Kavalan.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for the way they combine origin, limited scale and a clear single cask identity. The indication that only the last bottles remain adds to the sense that (…)Kavalan 2010 11y Port Nectar

Kavalan 2010 11y Port Nectar
On request only
Kavalan 2010 11y Port Nectar is a very focused Taiwanese single malt: one cask, port matured, bottled at cask strength and limited to just 156 bottles. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures the personality of a single cask distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022.
The Port Nectar name is well matched to the profile provided. Fruit is the main thread, supported by clear wood influence and lighter touches of spice and floral character. At 55.6%, the whisky keeps a firm, concentrated presence, giving the port maturation room to speak without turning the release into something generic.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are interesting because they show whisky in a more individual form. With the last bottles now indicated, this Kavalan (…)Kavalan 2014 8y Port Single Cask Incl. Box

Very last one in stock!
Kavalan 2014 8y Port Single Cask is a Taiwanese single malt built around precision and scarcity. Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2022, it comes from one individual cask, so it presents a very specific snapshot of Kavalan rather than a broader house-style vatting.
The port-matured cask defines the release, while the cask strength bottling at 59.4% keeps the whisky close to its original power. Only 191 bottles were drawn, and with the last bottles indicated, this is the kind of limited single cask that naturally stands out in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.
The available flavour profile points towards clear fruit and wood, with a lighter spicy accent in support. That gives this Kavalan a focused, concentrated identity, shaped by its single cask origin and (…)Kavalan 2015 6y Vinho Single Cask 55,6

Kavalan 2015 6y Vinho Single Cask 55.6 is a Taiwanese single malt built around the individuality of one wine cask. Bottled at cask strength and drawn from a release of just 181 bottles, it speaks more of a specific cask selection than of a broad house-style expression.
Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2022 after 6 years of maturation, this Kavalan carries the Vinho name with a clear wine cask identity. The available flavour profile points towards a whisky where fruit and spice are the main accents, with lighter touches of wood and floral character in support.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are interesting because they show how focused a single cask release can be. With its Taiwanese origin, cask strength bottling and very small outturn, it has a (…)Kavalan 2015 7y Bourbon Single Cask Incl. Box

Kavalan 2015 7y Bourbon Single Cask is a Taiwanese single malt with a very focused identity: one distillation year, one bourbon barrel and bottling at cask strength. Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2022, it presents seven years of maturation through the lens of one individual cask rather than a broader vatting.
Only 164 bottles were released, giving this whisky a clearly limited nature. At 53.2%, it keeps the directness of cask strength, with wood, spice and fruit standing out clearly and a lighter floral accent sitting behind them.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Kavalan we like to present when someone is looking for a specific cask-driven release rather than a general introduction to the brand. The combination of Taiwanese single malt, (…)Kavalan 2015 8y Bourbon Nectar Tube Incl.

Kavalan 2015 8y Bourbon Nectar is a Taiwanese single malt built around one very specific cask. Distilled in 2015 and bottled in October 2023 after 8 years, it matured entirely in a bourbon barrel and was released in only a very small number of bottles.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Kavalan we like to present when someone wants more than a regular expression: a compact single cask release with real presence. The 52.4% strength keeps the whisky close to its cask-driven intensity, while the bourbon barrel maturation supports the fruit, spice and toasted wood notes rather than covering them.
The Bourbon Nectar name suits the style suggested by the tasting notes: ripe tropical fruit, warm oak and a touch of spice. With only the last bottles (…)Kavalan 2015 9y Bourbon Single Cask

Kavalan 2015 9y Bourbon Single Cask

Kavalan 2015 9y Bourbon Single Cask is a focused Taiwanese single malt built around one clearly defined idea: a single bourbon cask, nine years of maturation and bottling at cask strength. At 51.6%, it keeps the intensity of the cask intact, giving a direct impression of this particular whisky as it stood in 2024.
The bourbon cask maturation brings the whisky into a sensuous, pastry-like register, supported by fruit, flowers, spice and a measured wood influence. It is not described as smoky; the interest lies more in the way creamy sweetness, orchard fruit, spice and floral notes unfold through the whisky.
Only 140 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now indicated, this Kavalan has a naturally limited place within the selection at Drankenshop (…)Kavalan 2015 9y Peated Single Cask 53,2

Kavalan 2015 9y Peated Single Cask is a Taiwanese single malt with a very focused identity: one cask, nine years of maturation and bottled at cask strength. Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024, it presents a direct view of a single Peated Cask rather than a broader, more polished composition.
Its appeal lies in the way strength and detail meet. At 53.2%, the whisky keeps close to its cask origin, while the supplied notes point towards elegant smoke, mineral touches, saline accents and a lift of fruit and florals. The peaty, ashy and maritime side is described as flowing harmoniously, giving the whisky a layered rather than one-dimensional smoky character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Kavalan stands out because only 122 bottles were drawn from the cask. (…)Kavalan 2016 8y Brandy Single Cask 53,2

Kavalan 2016 8y Brandy Single Cask 53.2 is a Taiwanese single malt built around intensity and cask personality. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2024, it spent eight years developing a style shaped by brandy casks, giving it a woody, liqueur-like and deeply aromatic presence.
A single cask bottling at 53.2% cask strength always gives a whisky a more defined voice. This is not a broad composition of many casks, but one individual selection, bottled in an outturn of 434 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of Kavalan that speaks to drinkers who enjoy a clear cask story in the glass.
The emphasis is not on smoke or salinity, but on ripe fruit, wood, gentle spice and an aromatic layer described as empyreumatic and oriental. With the last (…)Kavalan 2017 5y Oloroso Single Cask

Kavalan 2017 5y Oloroso Single Cask

Kavalan 2017 5y Oloroso Single Cask is a Taiwanese single malt with a very clear focus: one individual cask, Oloroso Sherry maturation and a small outturn of 217 bottles. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022 at five years old, kept at cask strength with an ABV of 54%.
Rather than presenting a broad, standard expression, this release is about the voice of a single cask. The profile points clearly towards wood, spice and fruit, with the Oloroso Sherry cask setting the direction of the whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Kavalan sits among the more limited whisky releases: single cask, cask strength and now down to the last bottles. It is a compact, clearly defined bottling for drinkers who enjoy exploring a specific cask rather than a general (…)Kavalan 2017 7y Vinho Single Cask

Kavalan 2017 7y Vinho Single Cask shows a focused and expressive side of Taiwanese single malt. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2024, it spent 7 years in vinho barrique casks, a maturation that places fruit, spice and aromatic finesse at the centre of the whisky.
As a single cask release, it represents one individual cask rather than a broader house-style bottling. Only 154 bottles were drawn, and it was bottled at cask strength at 58.6%, preserving the intensity and detail of that particular maturation.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we place in front of someone who enjoys limited, characterful bottlings with a clear cask influence. The fact that only the last bottles remain adds to the sense that this is a release with a very finite (…)Kavalan 40th Anniversary Of The King Car Group 1,5l

Kavalan 40th Anniversary Of The King Car Group 1,5l

Kavalan 40th Anniversary Of The King Car Group is a Taiwanese single malt created to mark a specific milestone: the 40th anniversary of the King Car Group. The 1.5 litre bottle gives it an even stronger sense of occasion, making it feel more like a commemorative release than a regular everyday whisky.
Bottled at cask strength, 56.3% ABV, it carries a concentrated and assertive style. The wine cask influence gives the whisky a framework in which fruit, spice and wood all play a noticeable role. There is no age statement here; the focus is on the cask selection, the strength and the anniversary character of the release.
With 10,000 bottles produced, this is a defined celebratory bottling, and the fact that these are the last bottles gives it a special place in (…)Kavalan Bourbon Alambic 20cl

Kavalan Bourbon Alambic 20cl shows a very focused side of Taiwanese single malt. Drawn from a Bourbon Barrel and bottled at cask strength, it keeps the personality of the individual cask close to the surface, with its 54% alcohol giving the whisky a clear and concentrated presence.
As a single cask release, this is not a broad house style but a specific bottling, dated 31 March 2016. At Drankenshop Broekmans, the last-bottles indication makes it especially interesting for customers who like to explore a defined cask selection while it is still available.
There is no age statement here; the story is carried instead by the cask, the fruit-forward profile and the gentle support of vanilla, caramel, spice and honey. The 20cl size also makes it a thoughtful way to (…)Kavalan Bourbon Cask Incl. Box

Kavalan Bourbon Cask shows a clean, fruit-led side of Taiwanese single malt, shaped by maturation in bourbon casks. The style brings together fresh aromas, oak and vanilla, with enough fruit and spice to give the whisky presence without making it feel heavy.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this bottle as a very natural introduction to Kavalan's bourbon-cask character. It is described as sharing qualities with Kavalan Bourbon Solist, but with a softer and more balanced expression, bottled at 46% ABV.
The appeal lies in its combination of exotic fruit, rounded vanilla, oak and gentle spice. Rather than peat or salty notes, the whisky focuses on clarity, fruitiness and a long, balanced finish.

Kavalan Classic has a meaningful place in Kavalan's story, as it was the distillery's very first reference. It introduces the house style through a Taiwanese single malt with a distinctly fruity, perfumed and exotic personality.
The sense of origin is part of its appeal. The producer points to the fresh air of Taiwan's north-eastern region and the pure water from the Hsuehshan mountains as influences on the whisky's character. Rather than leaning on smoke, this is a malt shaped around fruit, floral tones and gentle spice.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Kavalan Classic as a bottle that helps explain why Taiwanese single malt has found such an appreciative audience. Bottled at 40% in a 50 cl format, and with only limited bottles remaining, it is a thoughtful (…)Kavalan Distillery Select N°2 Incl. Box

Kavalan Fino Sherry Solist
| 1 review
In stockKavalan Fino Sherry Solist is a Taiwanese single malt shaped by one individual cask. Every whisky in the Solist range is bottled at cask strength, and this Fino Sherry release comes in at a firm 57%, keeping the whisky close to the way it left the cask.
The strength of the Solist series lies in Kavalan's cask-by-cask approach. The master distiller decides separately when each cask has reached the right moment for bottling. The differences may be subtle, yet each Solist is, in principle, its own distinct release. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is exactly the kind of bottle we like to present to customers who enjoy the idea of whisky as a specific cask selection rather than a standard expression.
With its Fino Sherry cask background, this single cask bottling (…)Kavalan Fino Solist Alambic 20cl

Kavalan Fino Solist Alambic 20cl

Kavalan Fino Solist Alambic 20cl is a Taiwanese single malt with a very focused identity: one Fino Sherry cask, bottled at cask strength. At 54% ABV it carries the intensity of a direct cask selection, while the 20cl format makes it an inviting way to explore this style without committing to a full-size bottle.
The appeal here lies in its specificity. A single cask bottling does not present a blended average of several casks; it captures one particular parcel of whisky as it stood at bottling. The bottling date of 29 March 2016 adds to that sense of a clearly defined release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Kavalan sits comfortably among whiskies for drinkers who enjoy concentrated fruit, spice and the influence of a sherry cask. With the last bottles now (…)Kavalan King Car

Kavalan King Car presents the generous side of Kavalan's Taiwanese single malt style. It was created to express the qualities of this young single malt in a broad and confident way, and it has already earned strong appreciation among knowledgeable whisky drinkers.
Bottled at 46% and without chill filtration, it keeps a fuller presence in the glass. The oak cask influence supports rather than dominates, allowing the fruit and spice to carry much of the whisky's personality. There is no peat-driven profile here; the emphasis is on purity, richness and a delicate sense of complexity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Kavalan King Car as a meaningful introduction to the distillery's house character, especially for customers who want a single malt from Taiwan with (…)Kavalan Lan Incl. Box

Kavalan Lan Incl. Box
Only 3 left in stock!
Kavalan Lan gives a clear sense of why Taiwan has become a meaningful name in whisky since 2006. Kavalan was born as Taiwan's first distillery, driven by King Car whisky, and its name pays tribute to an ancient local tribe known for its agricultural culture.
Lan refers to the Chinese character for orchid, a nod to Taiwan as the Kingdom of Orchids. That idea fits closely with Kavalan's stated style: fruity, floral, fresh and gently spiced. The whisky is made with unpeated malt imported from Scotland, allowing that softer aromatic side to come through without peat shaping the profile.
For this special edition, maturation took place in a combination of bourbon and port casks. The port casks were treated with the STR technique, Shave, Toast and Rechar, to (…)Kavalan Manzanilla Cask Solist

Kavalan Manzanilla Cask Solist
On request only
Kavalan Manzanilla Cask Solist is built around the individuality of a single cask. In Kavalan's Solist range, each release is bottled at cask strength and drawn from one individual cask, so the whisky is not shaped to repeat a fixed house expression. It captures the moment when the master distiller considered that particular cask ready.
At 57.8%, this Taiwanese single malt keeps a direct, powerful presence. The Manzanilla Cask Solist name and the tasting notes point to a dry sherry-led style, with brown sugar, raisins, cacao, nuts, vanilla and cinnamon playing a central role. The fruitiness is clearly there too, leaning towards orange juice and dried fruit rather than a light, fresh profile.
Bottled on 8 June 2016 with 561 bottles produced, this release is (…)
