Ryelaw 2022 Limited Edition is a distinctive Scotch whisky from Fife, made by InchDairnie, a young distillery that brings malt tradition into a more modern frame. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present because it tells a very specific story: rye is not just a detail here, it is the driving idea behind the whisky.
The mash is made from 53% malted rye and 47% malted barley. Ryelaw follows the rules for American Rye Whiskey, although Scotland currently has no legal definition for rye whisky that can be used in the same way on the label. Officially, it is a single distillery Fife Grain Scotch Whisky, but its identity is clearly shaped by rye's spicy, grain-led character.

Ryelaw Vintage 2018 is a rather distinctive take on Scotch whisky. It is a Fife Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the Lowlands, made at Inchdairnie Distillery with rye at the heart of the recipe: 53% malted rye and 47% malted barley. The rye comes from a single field, giving this second RyeLaw vintage a particularly focused starting point.
Inchdairnie began distilling in 2016 and, alongside its future single malt, has been working on several whisky projects. RyeLaw is one of the most characterful of those projects: Scottish in origin, yet clearly shaped by rye. It is distilled in a Lomond Hill still and matured in new charred oak casks from the Appalachian Mountains.
