Fettercairn Warehouse 14b 51.2 is a Highland single malt with a clear place in the Warehouse Series. After four successful Warehouse 2 releases, Distillery Manager Stewart Walker turned his attention to another warehouse and found casks suitable for the next chapter. That makes this release more than a simple follow-up: it is a look at Fettercairn through a different part of its maturation story.
The vatting brings together ex-bourbon casks and refill bourbon casks, with 12% ex-beer casks from a local Highland beer. The bourbon influence gives the whisky its familiar sweetness and fruit-driven shape, while the beer cask element adds a distinctive detail without taking over the whisky.
