Château Haut La Pierrière 2021 is a red wine from Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux, on Bordeaux's right bank next to Saint-Émilion. It comes from Château La Pierrière in Gardegan-et-Tourtirac, in the Castillonnais, and is made as a Bordeaux blend led by merlot, with cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon playing supporting roles.
The interest here lies in its firm, youthful Castillon character rather than in easy softness. The available information points to clay-limestone soils and a wine built around dark fruit, black fruit, liquorice, noticeable tannins, fresh acidity and a light mineral impression on the finish. It is described as still young, with drinking from 2026 advised.

Chateau La Pierriere 2020 is a red wine from Castillon, on Bordeaux's eastern Right Bank, close to Saint-Émilion. The estate sits on a limestone plateau in Castillon, a detail the producer links closely to the character of its wines. Part of the ageing takes place in wood, yet the wine remains very much about its Right Bank style: generous fruit, a fairly powerful frame and a polished tannic feel.
