Auchroisk was founded in 1974, making it a relatively young Scottish distillery, and was originally established to provide whisky for blends. In its single malt form, it is valued here for malt sweetness, floral notes and gentle spice. The Gaelic name means the red ford.
Cadenhead's Original Collection is built around careful cask selection. The whiskies are brought together at 50% ABV, allowed to rest so the flavours can integrate, and then bottled at 46%.
